Does anyone actually sit in their assigned seat at the movies

I never go when it’s packed , so I guess that’s why I never do

All the best seats at Cinemark are handicspped, so yeah I sit there if it's an empty theater. Can't remember ever seeing anyone sit in them.

I like dead center about 3/4 of the way back.

Why wouldn't you just originally pick the seat you want? I normally shoot for 2nd row in the middle right behind the handicap seats.

When I was a kid movie theaters were all first come, first serve.
When buying tickets online became a thing, people could reserve their seats and that's the norm. So yeah, people who buy their tickets with an assigned seat want that seat.
I haven't seen a free for all theater in a long time but I'm sure they still exist.

This would be way funnier in an assigned seat situation where you are on the website and see one seat taken in an empty theater and purposely choose the seat next to them. Act normal, but as the movie starts and no one else comes he's going to know you saw the seat map and did that 100% on purpose.

Left side back row, unless its a empty theater. That area is usually pretty empty and I do not like people.
