I hope Chalky stays around as well. He is one of the best characters on the show.
I just feel that if chalky's son ends up being killed by the klan, shite will go crazy in AC. I also can't stand Nucky's brother anymore and the route he's going after two episodes.

So can Chalky not read or did he just want one of the other guys to read it? Also, if he can't read, why bring him a book?

My guess is that his son thinks he can read, which is why he gave him the book. Chalky can't read but isn't going to tell his son he can't.

Can someone explain to me their interpretation of what Eli is doing? What's he thinking? He's confusing the hell out of me

I was thinking this also.

Also, he his son thinks he can read. I'm sure his wife thinks the samething.

I feel like Eli's response is purely emotional, and at some point he will breakdown and come back to Nucky's side, but probably at the exact moment one of the Commodore's henchmen will kill him off. No idea if this will happen, just my prediction.

The one who literally gets his teeth knocked out asked him what book he was reading, he said "Tom Sawyer". The book was David Copperfield.
ETA: The actor playing Meyer Lansky is my favorite thus far.

The early returns aren’t good. The season two opener was down 8 percent in the ratings from last season’s average (and down 40 percent from the Martin Scorsese-directed inaugural episode). HBO’s inexplicable decision not to release season one on DVD until after the second season started didn’t help -- a DVD release still hasn’t been announced -- and neither did some tough competition from the networks. But if the rating numbers don’t come up, HBO surely will start sweating another set of numbers, the production costs.
This is really bothering me. I'm invested in this series now and have not been disappointed in it at all.

The guy playing Lansky is fricking great! Damn near unshakable, save the moment in the warehouse last season when the were all tied up

frick Eli, hes already regretting this decision I think.
You can see it on his face.
I also think all of them except the tool that had to talk Damian into betraying Nucky, will end up regretting what they're doing.
I think the mayor will end up regretting his decision based on his conversation and the way he acted when he went and met Nucky.
In the previews, you can see Jimmy getting up to confront Nucky for Sunday's episode. Don't know what's going to happen, but ultimately, I think he'll side with Nucky. He's too smart not to side with him.
What I'm finding hard to follow is where Capone will fit in because he's being injected back into the story next week as well. Same with the NY guys that will be running heroin. How deep will this shite get?
God, this series is fantastic.

what language was was Sir Muttonchops speaking when Eli entered the room. initially, it sounded like Latin but then German at the end. Also, WTF did he say?

I want to knows what did the black house keeper give Nucky after the confronted her about trying to kill the comadore. I think that Nucky an Jimmy have a plan to take over NY an AC. An to get rid of all there enemy's an comption.

i dont see why Nuck would want anything to do with NY directly. He may want Jimmy to form a branch for him in NY but he has enough issues running AC, to try and bring in NY also would be a terrible move

I have to think the interjection of Luciano and Jimmy starting a business with the drug trade, is getting into the change from "businessman" to "gangster". It's more than taking bribes and running booze. This is transcending it into drugs now, and a much more violent future.

When is Capone going to get involved with this...
