Solid advice, but he's 13 and will use the tent when he's at camp in June (eta- not just this June, he'll be going to camp for many summers to come). Probably won't get much use of it during the year- that's why i'm looking for good quality, but not too expensive. His use of it will be when he goes ...

Thanks! yea, the 5lbs had me wondering. He mostly goes on paddling trips that are about 2-3 night overnights, but hiking isn't out of the question either. Good point about the lack of mesh. ...

American Girl also makes their dolls without hair and has other accessories that would help be supportive of kids with disabilities. It's a great company. Glad the hearing impaired kids now have a doll they can related with....
