I keep seeing Dominic Chianese (Uncle Jr. from "The Sopranos") listed in the credits, but I don't recognize him in the show. WTF?

He was the old dude with the bushy gray beard and bald head that said something (i think in Italian) to Eli in the room. Hard to recognize.

That was just badass how that whole scene went down.
That phone call between Eli and Nucky was some tense shite. Now it's all out in the open. Things gonna get real with a quickness.
I get the feeling there's a little more shady to Margaret then she wants to let on. Can't put my finger on it but something definitely went down in Ireland before she came here.
Curious as to what the implications will be from Jimmy's little slice and dice episode after his meeting with Meyer and Lucky.

Ole boy shouldn't have been fricking with Chalky
Some of that whole conversation over the course of the prison stay may have went over my head. Was the guy all of Chalky's men beat up in the cell anybody of particular status? Or was he just a guy who figured Chalky was a big shot he could mess with in prison?

It may have just been an oversight by the director, but I noticed he never took his gun back from the guy who confiscated it from him.

Chalky gets more badass each episode. The whole jail scene how he never laid a glove on that guy was just awesome.
And the phone conversation between Nucky and his brother was intense stuff.
I agree - there's more to Margaret then we are led to believe. Good stuff.

This episode was incredible. One of the best of the series.

Holy shite, that was a badass episode. Jimmy is on the wrong fricking side.

I think Nucky is beginning to realize how sharp she is. The way he looked at her when he saw she had the ledger and the cash says he was impressed.
For a minute there I thought maybe she would start banging that young Irish guy, but, I don't think she'd do that to Nucky. I think he may be Nucky's new Jimmy.

this. he was just some "badass" guy from balt-more who didn't like how chalky acted uppity and faked that he could read (which made him seem more uppity and somewhat stupid). he obviously thought chalky was more bark than bite
that scene was somewhat symbolic for the whole "chalky is powerful and nucky needs to remember that" angle
we got to witness his power first hand. for the lack of a better wording, chalky owns the blacks in AC

While I loved the scene, if you think about it, it was odd that the other guys in the cell let the dude mess with Chalky for so long. Other than dramatic effect, there wasn't a reason to pretend they were neutral in there.

I thought it was perfect. They didn't make a move until Chalky gave them the nod.

Pretty sure he did get his gun back. You see Jimmy reach in the guys coat while he's hunched over that fountain.
But that whole scene went over my head. Why did Jimmy go out there? He knew they'd be waiting on him? I must have missed something?? Or is Jimmy just trying to suck up to AR and crew?

Best scene in the show last night, loved it!

haven't read through the thread yet, but I just wanted to say that the scene with chalky last night was so amazing...if anyone is not watching this show, you need to. Last season was slow moving, but now it's in full gear
the sets, acting, writing, framing, everything in this show is top notch...great show last night, and i'm pumped to watch the season unfold

The Chalky jail cell scene was the best of the series IMO.
Although I'm a huge Omar fan so I love seeing Michael Williams in any role as a badass.

He flashed the cash in front of the Italians on purpose. He knew the Italians had a beef with rothsteins guys over some LES territory. My guess is he wants to get rothsteins guys blamed for it and stir shite up.
He definitely expected to get jumped.

I'm still worried about something happening to Chalky or worse his family.
