I'm thinking he might be Jimmy's partner in moving the heroin because i doubt the Commodore and the old guard want anything to do with drugs.

Eli is doing his best to get out of nucky's shadow but as the scene last year when Eli was the emcee at the dinner and bombed, he just isn't cut out for a leadership role

Did you notice the annoying kid in Meyer Lansky's office was Bugsy Seigel?

Jimmy is conflicted because he feels like Nucky doesn't respect him, but he will find out the Commodore is only using him and will turn his back on the Commodore just like the Commodore did to him when he was a kid

Chalky is the second most powerful man in AC because he controls the "help." he says the word, no black workers show up for work and everything grinds to a halt in AC

exactly, even if he is handed the reigns he'll blow it. i could see him flipping and giving Nuck the power back only for Nuck to have him offed.

was Bugsy Siegel an insane a-hole in real life too?

yeah, thats pretty obvious though im conflicted as to whether he'll be back with Nuck or end up as Nuck's rival after getting rid of the Commodore

Yes. Yes he was. He was the violent hotheaded enforcer of the group among Meyer Lansky (the brains), Frank Costello (the savvy negotiator), and Lucky Luciano (the front man).

Bugsy was also the suave charming one.

Bugsy Seigel built Las Vegas
thought it was cool to see his character as a 14 yr/old kid acting like an a-hole

His nickname "Bugsy" was basically given to him because he was a hotheaded psycho. He was known to throw a fit if somebody called him that to his face.

Just watched the Chalky jail cell scene again. Quickly becoming one of my favorite scenes of any series.

The actor who plays Chalky in BWE and Omar in the Wire is just a freaking awesome actor. I enjoy thoroughly the role he has played as those two guys.

Not trying to make too much of comparison here but my favorite HBO series of all time is definitely the Sopranos and season 2 of that was by far my favorite...season 2 of Boardwalk is shaping up like that as well. Brilliantly acted show.

I'm just hoping the numbers turn around. I'm gonna flip if it goes the way of Deadwood.

The early through-line of "Boardwalk Empire's" second season has been Nucky's vulnerability: Others are trying to loosen his grip on Atlantic City, and he's pushing back just as hard to keep his power.

Based on these two clips from Sunday's (Oct. 9) episode, 'A Dangerous Maid,' that's not changing anytime soon.

In the first, Nucky (Steve Buscemi) doesn't take very kindly to an overture from Al Capone (Stephen Graham) -- not because of anything Capone does, but because it doesn't come from his bosses. In the second, IRA advance man Owen Sleater (Charlie Cox) offers his services to Nucky. The implication in each case is that Nucky is weakened, not worthy of a visit from the top guys and in need of the protection Owen proposes.

That's not a very pleasant place to be in, and we're very curious to see how Nucky tries to regain the upper hand.

Was good tonight, really pushing the plot along. Upcoming preview was badass too. Like our new Irish headcrusher. Easy on the eyes too. Hehe
