I didn't say he wasn't pretentious as all get out, but he knows film, and understands it better than most. His opinion is well founded, even if I often disagree with him, and he's a solid writer. Not my favorite critic, but he's more important than anyone in the OP of this thread.

I get that we have to keep a grain of salt handy, because even if it was terrible, these same folks would say it was great (look no further than Ghostbusters).
Having said that, I think we have to remain open-minded when it is organic "girl power" versus a forced, artificial, stunt casting kind of thing for a film or a laughably bad scene in an otherwise good product (e.g. the "girl power" scene in Endgame).
And, I will say that the trailer looks like this will be a hoot and a half - Robbie is one of the hottest things going in Hollywood right now.

It's a movie with a female lead. This movie could be Tank Girl and they would still give it glowing reviews.

I think the reviews and buzz words the sjw critics just can't help from using is what induces the eye rolling.
"female bad assery!" "unapologeticaly female!" just dumb shite. It comes off as more patronizing if anything "they're female and they can do stuff!"
I've been skeptical of this movie since the marketing has basically shifted to "hey its Harley Quinn....and some other random chicks, don't worry about them....HARLEY QUINN"

It’s Harley Quinn and a bunch of characters no one cares about. Fact is female characters have not done well in comic book movies and will continue to not do well, outside of a select few

I’m just saying the Birds of Prey part was unnecessary. Just do a Harley Quinn movie and focus on characterization of her. The other characters are just filler

Frankly I would have preferred a Gotham City Sirens movie. Maybe this movie will introduce or hint at Ivy and Catwoman

Grace is half SJW. Sometimes she rips on SJWs but she is always talking about LGBQT participation. She knights for women in movies but... she is firmly in the camp that making men dumb and weak is horrible. So most of the time I can tolerate her reviews.
