I know it did not look like Michelle Piefer or the Catwoman from the Adam West series, does not look like a Catwoman from Batman the animated series and most importantly the comic book.

So when I just see that, it make me think so original crap so I simply as a general movie audience did not go.

Ertha Kitt? I am not even going to "educate" myself because if I have to wiki and research to understand a movie, then that movie has failed, like Birds of Prey and Halle Berry Catwoman.

I get why they are defending themselves for liking this movie. They don't want to admit they're fans of third wave feminist trash.

Seriously? People aren't allowed to just like or dislike something, there has to be some deeper meaning to it?

Does this mean if you enjoyed Apollo 13 you secretly wish man had never gone to the Moon?

If you like Rocky III you had a fetish for old men dying?

If you like Predator, you think people shouldn't own guns?

Mendelson at Forbes is putting the movie's box office in the "disappointment" category. He also agrees with those of us that put the main blame on the R rating. A John Wick 2 performance for a movie with a John Wick 3 budget.
quote:

Two weeks later, Birds of Prey has earned $142 million worldwide on an $82 million budget, and everyone is arguing over whether it’s a flop or a potentially leggy hit. It’s merely a disappointment. The film is tracking like John Wick: Chapter 2 ($30.4 million opening on the same weekend in 2017, with a 46% second weekend drop for a $61 million 11-day cume) but with a budget closer to John Wick: Chapter 3 ($75 million) than John Wick: Chapter 2 ($40 million). If it follows accordingly, it’ll probably end its run with around $93.5 million domestic (John Wick 2 ended with $92 million domestic). And while it has already earned $83 million overseas, more than JW2’s $79 million overseas total, it’s not going bonkers overseas either.
