How dare they kill off Chozen that quickly.

Episode 3 was alright boy did the 2015 timeline need Kurt Russell. Those three actors are just bad and I do not care at all about the hackers backstory. Great monster design though and I like how they’re not derivative of what Toho has done before. Still difficult to see Anders turn into John Goodman but he’s doing a good job.

After watching two episode 3 recaps, they really butchered the Castle Bravo scene from the original ‘14 movie.
There are a couple of really simple yet better ideas they could’ve gone with. Oh well.
Kind of getting annoyed that people aren’t understanding that this is a Monarch show and not a Godzilla-every-episode show. Godzilla isn’t in the title.
Kurt Russell is really showing what a talent he is. Both him and Wyatt shine.
*ETA
Dr. Who ended with Capaldi's doctor. Everything afterwards is unrecognizable trash.

I hope I age as good as Kurt Russell does in the next 15 years.

Capaldi sucked too. He started the end

It ended with the exit of Clara. Everything after she left it is some different show.

Not to jack the thread, but as big a Clara fan as I am, her & Capaldi were a bad pair. Just no chemistry early on & they forced her to carry on well past her expiration date.
Love the Impossible girl, but she stayed too long.

It really wasn't very good under Capaldi. He was fine but the writing went to trash before him and only got worse. Then it really got bad.

There was a throwaway line about good genes, but a 72 year old Kurt Russell is playing a 90+ year old. I wonder if Monarch is up to other things besides monsters.

Chris Chibnall decided going woke would be wise... He singlehandedly destroyed Doctor Who. Here's hoping that Russell Davies can bring it back. If only they could get Steven Moffatt back... heck, give Mark Gatiss a run at it.

Casting Kurt and Wyatt Russell was a great idea
When the kids went to go find the colonel it finally hit me that he and Wyatt would be playing the same character. Brilliant.

Yeah, no. They were discussing pronouns in the new Tennant special.

4th episode.
We know more Titans are coming later on, and this is the necessary 'human' story to fill in the gaps. About over with the forced drama generated by both May & Cate regarding EVERYTHING. There are times, especially in survival situations, that snarking and bitching about trivial stuff needs to just be tossed aside.
Thankfully, Cate is showing signs she's a real human after all.
C+
*G-1 watch just hours away now.

Just started this today, like it so far.
The son, Kentaro, is one of the bigger bitches I’ve seen lately. I want to plant my fist right in his suckhole

I did not like episode that much. Stayed too long in flashbacks that didn’t add much for the screen time they got. Seems like trip to Alaska has been pointless so far except to kill off the friend and to imply that the sister, brother, and the computer/sound chick are going to be in a relationship triangle or maybe perform an Eiffel Tower together.
Also, in his 70s Kurt Russell has more charisma and screen presence than the 3 actors will ever have in their combined careers.

Good one. Although they're just 1/2 siblings, so it's cool, right?
Right?
Kurt's been doing this for a long time. He's eating up scenery bigly. Love it.

Actors outside of Kurt and his son are almost uniformly annoying. I like the story, but the "kids" in this thing are a bunch of whiny serial victims.

If Wyatt plays Shaw in the 40s, how is Kurt playing him in 2015? That would make Shaw about 95 in 2015. There’s no way. Could he be Wyatt’s Shaw’s son?
