Nah, just normal high school kids. They kind of sucked. Typically lost to other AAA schools (second-highest classification back then) but beat A and AA schools.
Like I said, I don't really know what a top-classification high school basketball championship team looks like, but those St. Paul's teams were absolutely nothing special. Might have had one guy around 6'2". Nobody I'd call a "lights out" shooter.
Anyway, I don't think this is the lead pipe cinch y'all think it is.

HS team full of 17 year old wouldn't be fair and I still think the WNBA All star team couldn't beat a 14AAU team...

A state champion boys team, especially if Clay gets to pick the state, will have at least a few college prospects. Doesn't even have to be D1. But they're going to demolish a women's team. There's no comparison.

A high school state championship team will probably have 1-3 kids on there that can play college ball to some degree. These players are going to completely demolish the womens team.

Montverde and IMG have multiple 5 star recruits on their rosters every year. They have freshmen and sophomores sitting the bench that will be top 10 players in the country.
247 Florida Recruits
Whoever it was that Clay Travis bet would have to be an absolute idiot to take that bet. You could spot the WNBA team 100 points and IMG or Montverde would still win.

They already did this with soccer and the U15 boys team dragged their nuts all over the Womens' National Team.

Could a state select, all star 8th grade team beat them? 9th? 10th?
What’s the youngest team that couldn’t make it past them?

What about a Peruvian prison all-star team? Poor WNBA chicks probably wouldn't stand a chance.

I’d take late 90s St Aug teams against WNBA Hall of Fame team.

All you need is one dude that women couldn’t do anything with… like for example this dude that we had not long ago

Monteverde’s biggest win last year was against some Hawaiian school by 60 points. Yes, the state champ would win. But stating they’d win by 100 just isn’t true.

What size ball are they using?

Most boys HS state champions have at least one or two kids who can play above the rim. They would run the WNBA champions out of the gym.

Would be a massacre
Back in the 2000s Girls HS basketball was played in the fall in Virginia.
The HS girls team made the state final four the entire time I was in HS. The group of girls was made up of a legit nationally ranked AAU team. When they were freshman their basketball team was so good tenured players from years before Varsity got cut at tryouts or never got off the bench.
We had an intramural boys league that was made up of the different High schools in my town. Basically for all the football, baseball and soccer athletes to do something in the winter. My team would which was one of the better ones(won it all my Senior year). My senior year the girls team entered the league. We absolutely blew the doors off them like by 40+. They kept it close and even beat some of the shitty teams but the good teams absolutely wrecked them. To the point they would play dirty as frick and just foul the frick out us all game.

A boys state championship team from 3A or 4A would beat them something like 100-25

WNBA team wouldn't get ball past half court if boys press.
It would easily be 100 if boys motivated.

I’m assuming they’ll play the game they would against any high school boys team. They don’t win by 100 against the bad high school boys teams, which leads me to believe they wouldn’t win by 100 against the WNBA’s best.
It’s a very different sport, but I feel like it’s when scratch golfers say they could compete on the LPGA Tour and that’s just not even remotely true.
So many of the comparisons people are making are using mediocre high school or college women’s teams that the WNBA champs would beat by a million too. UConn women have beaten teams who made the tourney by 60, and they would get smoked by Las Vegas.
Again, the best State Champs would win, and I think it would not be close. The best State Champs could even beat some bad men’s college teams. I just don’t think the women are as bad as people believe they are.
