Football - Donte Jackson, Fournette, Malachi Dupree

Baseball - Jared Poche, Brendan McKay

Basketball - Thon Maker, Kelly Oubre, Brian Bridgwater (he was the same size at 14 as he was 22, but about 60 pounds lighter. Posters with ease in 8th grade. Horrifying).

I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

Odell Beckham Jr. He wasn’t quite as good at soccer as he leads on.

Was good friends with Blake Stein as a kid, and we were teammates with Babe Ruth baseball in St Tammany Parish. Was traded to the A's with a few other minor league players for Mark McGwire. He played a few years in the MLB with Oakland and KC.

For me, it’s Nick Anderson, not the one who played for the Magic with Shaq and Penny, but the one who was a Parade All-American in high school and then played for Texas A&M.

My high school friends went up against Michael Clayton, Big Baby, and Trindon Holiday.

I know a guy at work who is younger than me and a scratch golfer who has played (and lost) to Jordan Spieth, Will Zalatoris, and Scottie Sheffler.

Played against Rick Robey in high school. Also I didn’t play against him because I was on the same team, but Holly Wilson was pretty good.

The mayor of my hometown used to wear me out in youth basketball and was recently arrested so he’s more infamous I guess but still.

Mikie Mahtook

Never played against him, but was in the opposite dugout from him in high school. Was my freshman year and was nowhere good enough to start on varsity

I swam directly against a decent number of future Olympic medalists back in the age group and high school days: Matt Grevers, Tyler McGill, Conor Dwyer, Kevin Cordes, Nathan Adrian, and Milorad Cavic (the guy Phelps miraculously touched out in the 100 fly at Beijing)

Not famous to most folks, but big names in the aquatic community.

Raced against Lance Armstrong in a triathlon. I beat him on the swim. You know the rest...
