Played Cecil Collins and Antony Thomas consecutive weeks in HS. Beat Leesville, lost to Winfield. Winfield had a FB that was just as dominant. Gave up 600yds rushing in 2 weeks. Thought we were good

Wes Chandler, threw him out at second base in softball league play.
Team mate with Rob Kish in the same softball league.

Quan Cosby smoked me in the 100m in 2000.
Super nice about it though.

I was a year older than Colt and Shipley but we played them in first couple of rounds of playoffs when they were rocking at Jim Ned.
I was thinking it weird to play against 5A west lake players and 2A Jim Ned but basketball makes more sense.

Not really a lot to brag about on my part since the 2 best sports people I did go against did handle me rather easily, but here goes.
As a teen, I got into boxing amateur and was training at a gym in Arabi under the guidance of Mr. Norman Vancourt. We were a small gym with only about a dozen guys training at any time. So, to get some good sparring in, we would head to St. Mary's Gym in the French Quarter where I got some ring time with a local top amateur named Tony Licata. He had been boxing for a few years and that is when I learned how much conditioning played in that sport. He hardly broke a sweat as we sparred, while I was trying to take in air through any orifice in my body to keep up.
Well, when Tony was still just 17, he turned pro and amassed an impressive 60-7-4 record in 11 years before retiring. His biggest fight was against then Middleweight Champion, Carlos Monzon. They fought in Madison Square Garden. Unfortunately for Tony, he got stopped in the 10th round of the 15 rounder.
My second top encounter was many years later in a pro-am dart tournament held at a hotel in downtown N.O. where I got pitted against the World's #10 player at the time. His name is Kevin Spiolek and he had recently beaten World Champion Phil Taylor in match play. It went as I expected when we finally met prior to the match and I heard that British accent and knew he didn't travel across the Atlantic to lose to a local yokel-------------and he didn't.

Billy Cannon Jr. and Dalton Hilliard (High School)
Billy Cannon Jr. (Broadmoor High School)
He was probably the best all-around athlete I got to witness during my playing days. He had the size and speed to burn. Just an awesome multisport talent. I think baseball was probably his best sport.
Dalton Hilliard (Patterson High School)
At 5'8" he was a freakish solid ball of muscle. Like trying to tackle a tree stump and he could dunk a basketball without much effort. I believe his thighs were bigger than his waist.
Just had to add these other two that I didn't play against but had the chance of seeing them up live and in person.
Terry Robiskie (Second Ward High School)
Did not play or compete against him in High School but got to see him up live and in person on the football field. Saw him play when I was a young kid against my Uncle. I can still remember to this day hearing the announcer in the press box calling the game that night.
Robiskie, Quarterback keeper around the right side for 70 yards and a touchdown.
Robiskie, Quarterback keeper around the left side for 85 yards and a touchdown.
Robiskie, Quarterback sneak up the middle for 60 yards and a touchdown.
That was all night long for the whole game. Robiskie was a man among boys that night.
Todd Kinchen (Trafton Academy High School)
Had the opportunity to watch him after my playing days were over. Like Cannon Jr. he was a phenomenal multisport athlete. First saw him as a High School Freshman and knew that he was going to be a special talent.
