Joe Delaney. Played against is a relative term. I watched him run past me over and over. Never got close enough to lay a hand on him. We still won the game though.
In high school I scrimmaged in practice every day against a guy who went on to play strong safety for the Chargers for several years.

Wing T ate his lunch. Hung 50 on them in the playoffs. Fast forward a few years later and he was a whole different kind of player. He surpassed all the much better Evangel guys I went up against.

Played bball against him from middle school all the way through high school. In 7th grade he was already like 6-2. By senior year he was 6-11 and our tallest player was 6-3. It didn’t turn out well. He averaged like 45 points a game his senior year.

Not me directly but I was a distance runner in high school while Barrett Nugent was active.
My buddy who was a decent hurdler for 3A high school standards would be beaten by nugent by at least 20 meters in the 110 hurdles.
Nugent was a NCAA hurdle champion at LSU but unfortunately had injuries which prevented him from being an Olympian.

Played a beer league hockey game as a goalie against some high-caliber players in ATL.
Eric Boulton was an NHL enforcer for about a decade. Not known as a scorer, at all. He wasn't even trying, and he was incredibly skilled. Mountain of a human being, as well.

Lavar Arrington ran straight over me in the WPIAL Championship game in 1993. He was freshman that played running back and was still probably twice my size.
Now, for a teammate, I played high school baseball with Sean Casey. Great guy all around.
