When Bama lost in Oxford in 2014, grown arse men were going out of their way trying to fight my group of college aged kids. I’ve seen us lose in Knoxville, Baton Rouge, and Auburn with no issue

People who have bad interactions are usually massive assholes or incredibly insecure from my experience

I have somehow managed to go to 50+ away games and never have a bad experience

this x10. I had some friends went to a Florida game. When they came back to their vehicle after the game ,all four tires were slashed. Along several other vehicles with Louisiana plates

Every bad experience I’ve had on a road trip were from either obvious sidewalk fans (Arkansas, Texas) or current students (LSU, Ole Miss, Tech) and were minor isolated incidents that didn’t ruin otherwise fantastic trips.

Clemson fans weirded me out a little (and I went to A&M, so high bar to clear there) and Colorado students were just lame and unimaginative.

99% of my interactions with opposing fans at games have been overwhelmingly positive. If you have some thick skin and aren’t a drunk a-hole I think that’s true for most.

I hear a lot of complaints about Hawaii’s fans for sure as far as mid majors go.

I've been to most SEC stadiums and every big non conference game LSU has played in since 2006. LSU @ West Virginia in 2011 was by far the most bar/tailgate fights I have ever seen on a road trip. Fun trip though

The only place I have had a poor time was Lubbock, TX. By the way, I don't think Tech fans are bad by any means. There were just some wild people in the stadium that night.
Weren't they said to be a sh*t smearing bunch? Was it a football team bus, or a band bus from A&M that had cow sh*t smeared on it during a game? Wasn't it over A&M leaving the Big XII?

Only time I had a bad interaction was at War Memorial in Little Rock, but it was an isolated incident where a drunk fan lost his cool.

Went in 2006. It was horrible.

I can safely assume we're not asking attendance-wise?

Now you're insulting every trailer park boy who never graduated high school and his mother is his sister and his brother is his son.

I was at that game too. Didn't see any tailgate fights but yes, WVU fans are a wild and fun bunch.

Ohio State

They always whine to the NCAA whenever they don't get their way in Big Ten games and the NCAA enables them

I think you can always find terrible subsets of any fanbase. I would think it's the schools who are good and aren't used to losing who have the most bad fans, or in a similar vein the fanbases of formerly top programs who haven't accepted it may never come back.

The worst fan interactions I've heard of happened at Penn State. They used to (may still do it) take pisses in ziploc bags, then put a few holes in it and throw piss bags at OSU fans.

I was in Ann Arbor for the Oregon game and I didnt have one bad interaction with a michigan fan. It was a great time. Ann Arbor is a really cool college town. I went to Zingermans and got the reuben and ive been dreaming of it since. Hungout in downtown Detroit for a day as well. Not as bad as people say although it smells like shite sometimes.

Worst away game experience I’ve had was in Athens. Nothing crazy, just a lot of drunk mouthy frat boys. That’s what happens though when your school is full of yankee transplant kids from the north Atlanta suburbs. Old Georgia fans are largely nice folks.

I did not enjoy the couple days in New Orleans before the natty against Ohio state. They were assholes for absolutely no reason. Thankfully after we won they pretty much disappeared into thin air about an hour after the game.

Been to Florida, Alabama, Auburn, couple of neutral site games against Oregon and Florida state…basically every stadium in the SEC. The only place I didn’t have a whole lot of fun was Tennessee.
