If you went 2/5 with a home run and a single every game in a season you would have an OPS 0.022 less than 2004 Barry Bonds

If you took steroids for 10 years straight, you would be closer to Bonds than you are now.

That was more than the entire American League had all season that year.

It's also more than the Tampa Bay Devil Rays franchise have had in their entire existence.

Bonds drew 688 intentional walks over his 22-year career.

For the first 27 seasons of their existence, the entire Rays franchise had fewer intentional walks than Bonds had by himself.

The Rays finally passed Bonds' mark in June 2025.

Even with steroids he couldn’t bring a championship to SF. Screw the giants.

He couldn't throw out a crippled Sid Bream from shallow left. He didn't even get it there on the fly.

If he retired before the 2001 season, he would have finished with more career HRs than Lou Gehrig, a higher OPS than Mickey Mantle, and would be top 20 all time in WAR.
