Didn’t Daly also win the British?

Yes, at St Andrews in 1995. Two time major winner John Daly.

But Rousey was like -1250 to win. It was a gigantic upset.

I was married at the time and wanted to throw money on that bet because I knew Holly was going to win. She bitched at me saying that it was a waste. Terrible mistake on my part...i should have just went and laid down the money...

Secretariat was horse of the year as a two-year-old. Hardly an upset.
Sham just picked the wrong year to be born.

Rousey was a tomato can that hadn’t fought anybody. She got exposed more than upset

This for sure. I remember seeing video of Rousey shadow boxing in her training camp and it was downright comical with her lack of coordination to throw clean, crisp punches. It was like "Amateur Hour".

She got exposed by Holmes and finished off by Amanda Nunes in under one minute in her next fight----------------then quit the sport to go into that BS wrestling where the outcome is decided in the dressing room before the matches.

And to think there were people who actually thought she'd beat Floyd Mayweather in a fight............fricking comical how they drank the Rousey Kool-Aid.

I know Buster Douglas over Tyson is an obvious.

Soderling beating prime Rafa in the French

I don’t think any two individual athletes have ever had the same aura of invincibility as Tyson in 1990 and Nadal at Roland Garros in 2009. And when they lost, it wasn’t to anyone special.

Secreteriat over Sham

Definitely not. However, Prove Out beating Secretariat by 4.5 lengths in the 1973 Woodward Stakes on the same track and distance as Secretariat’s famous 31 length Belmont win a few months earlier is up there.

If you go way back, there are two in boxing that people talk about. One was Ali beating Sonny Liston, which was before I ever saw a boxing match. The other was George Foreman absolutely dismantling Joe Frazier. This one I recall. The video is less than 6 minutes, and that includes a few replays.

I get it. I was posting tongue and cheek. Unfortunately, Sham didn't get to choose what year he was born because he would be an all-timer if he could choose...

Bowe gave up his belt to avoid Lewis.

Bowe subsequently relinquished his WBC title and the mandatory challenger position, effectively avoiding a fight with Lewis.

Lewis fought a lot of great fighters and only lost 2 and both by knockout. I would not say he had a glass jaw.

He beat some heavy punchers:

Vitali Klitschko
David Tua
Frans Botha
Evander Holyfield
Mike Tyson
Tommy Morrison
Andrew Golota
Donovan Ruddock (After this Ruddock fight, Lewis was proclaimed the WBC Heavyweight Champion as Riddick Bowe refused to face him)

Cole Hocker's gold in 2024 is equally as shocking , maybe more so. He beat the reigning gold medalist and the reigning world champion.
