but once the momentum is halted it's over right there. Same as any other play.

Basically saying it's not Instagram worthy.

Good. It was a dumb rule to legalize to begin with.

That's sort of how I felt, especially after defenders had to stop getting leverage on ball carriers and tackle high, which allows for those ridiculous 10 yard offensive lineman pushes downfield.

I understand the idea that defenses "need to adjust," but there's always a limit to that where eventually you have to admit the game is broken in some aspect.

Even if they get rid of the extra push from behind, Hurts is still going to convert a large majority of those sneaks. The wedge the Eagles offensive line creates is more than enough to get the 1 yard.

I mean didn’t the Pats and Brady do this often? Or am I misremembering

You're misremembering. I'm not going to say he's never been pushed, but it wasn't something that happened every single time.

I like this, it's not aesthetically pleasing and takes all the drama out of 4th downs.

Maybe I was wrong. I thought they ran this play often back in the day on 4th and short.

Only thing I can think of is they do the fake bad snap a lot.

That was joke reasoning on not being pretty, but it is a bullshite play in my opinion. It doesn't show who is actually stronger it just shows who has more leverage with no one blocking the ability of the person to come push forward. It's not a skillful play, he is correct.

How about defenses don't let teams get to 3rd and 1?

Brady was known for his swann dive sneaks. He was great at picking out the weak point of the line and going at it.

NP! I had to watch a couple of sneaks from over the years just to make sure I wasn't talking out of my arse, and ran into a video that reminded me of 28-3 so it was worth it ha.

I think it's awesome. Run the play and make them stop it.

I wish they would fix the kickoff.

Start the teams off at the 20 yardline...

In the 4th Q teams can attempt to complete a 4th & 12 instead of an onside kick

People said the same shite when the forward pass became popular.

How about they wait a few years to see if and how other teams adopt it before deciding it's scourge to the game? It's likely after a year or two DCs would figure out a way to defend that kind of play in the same way they were able to massively slow down wildcat plays once they got enough tape and started to game plan them.

An LSU O-lineman pulled our QB this past season and the QB was ruled down. You can push but not pull players in college football
