I’d do it again. Hey I have stats to pile up..... I have zero problem with him stroking that pitch.... the pitcher should not fell behind 3-0.... if you were able to throw a strike on pitch number 4 , why could you not do it the 1st three pitches.....

If I was at bat with a 3-0 count I’d swing every time. Unless the pitcher is really off that night you’ll get a good pitch it hit. Screw the unwritten rules.

You don’t swing at 3-0 because of the odds of getting on base taking the pitch, not because of any sort of sportsmanship.

That’s almost always the case, but in this situation the manager stated that most of his players have a 3-0 green light. He intentionally gave Tatis the take sign, so I don’t think it was about getting on base here.

This isn’t little league. All elite mlb players have green light on 3-0 counts. High chance you’ll get a hittable pitch.

I think my point still stands. I’m not sure when not swinging at a 3-0 pitch was supposed to be good sportsmanship.

It's stupid shite like this that turns people off to baseball. I get not pulling a double steal up 10 runs in the 8th, but if I have a big lead I'm swinging the bat. If you can't get me out, that's your problem.
