Other than Fed who’s almost done and Nadal who qualifies as a “big name”?
You got me there…. I was hoping for a little help. Wasn’t there a big English dude for a while?

It’s terrifying. Dude is a multi-multi millionaire, arguably the best tennis player of all-time, super classy and professional (regardless of how he was early in his career), and like a 6-time champion of their country’s greatest championship in the social media era of 2022, and they still feel emboldened enough to basically hold him prisoner and cut off his communication to the outside world is absolutely fricking terrifying. They’ll do that to HIM? What would they be willing to do to YOU?
so they should treat him better than the average Joe just because he can swing a racket

I think the point is, if they are willing to imprison and treat someone like he is in a third world hell hole whike the entire world is watching, what are they willing to do when the world isn’t watching?

How are you so consistently dense and wrong about every topic?

They wouldn't allow a Czech female player in either despite her being told her exemption would be valid. She said frick an appeal and is going home.

How about not turn into a dystopian nanny state because of a virus with a 99% survival rate?

they could stop treating the average joe like lab rats, but you knew that already

There was supposed "national outrage" over his exemption
The outrage wasn’t because the people thought he should be vaxxed. It’s because of the blatant hypocrisy-they’ve been locked down for 2 years and then a tennis player was going to get exempted from everything because he was good for the tournament. I’d be pissed too. Once the overlords got called out on the hypocrisy, they changed their minds on the exemption.

Make Indian Wells the new member of the Grand Slam and let Australia think about what they have done forever.

The second Australian Open tennis star, Renata Vorácová, detained in a Melbourne hotel where Novak Djokovic is being held, has revealed she’s leaving Australia after having her visa revoked.

I am talking with the Djokovic family and they are clear that Tennis Australia, in line with Victoria state law, allowed Novak to come to Australia as he had proof of a positive PCR test within the last 6 months. He was then arrested, his phone and wallet taken.

When the Australian Home Affairs Minister says Novak Djokovic is free to leave, she is NOT being straight. Unless he makes an appeal, he will face an automatic 3 year visa ban — so has to stay in prison conditions until the hearing on Monday.

Novak Djokovic contracted COVID-19 last month but was not experiencing symptoms and had written clearance from Australia's immigration department before traveling to the country with a medical exemption from its vaccination rules, his lawyers said in a court filing on Saturday.
quote:
On Jan. 1, Djokovic received "a document from the Department of Home Affairs (which) told Mr. Djokovic that his 'responses indicate(d) that (he met) the requirements for a quarantine-free arrival into Australia," the documents added.

Djokovic was given a medical exemption backed by the Victoria state government and Australian Open organizers based on information he supplied to two independent medical panels.
Sounds like a lot of flip flopping by Australian government LINK

Just amazing. A nine time champion of their major tournament may get a three year ban from the country.

John Isner should go save him. Oh wait… he is also an anti-vaxxer.

Because any topic that isn’t directly related to Louisiana high school sports is completely out of his depth.
