Highly unlikely that Notre Dame releases that statement without reviewing the video they mentioned.

So the most likely scenario at this time is the Asst coach looking for a payday.

I'd want to shite over Freeman but this coach seems like a real piece of work. What a loser

This is the kinda thing you hear about when a coach has a bad year and you want to fire them and save the buyout so it's probably not accurate

Freeman thought it was too much, went to get his son, and gave the coach some shite (deservedly) for messing with his son. He MAY have even brushed against the coach in the process.
He could have punched him for all I care. Sticking up for your son with knuckles for an adult is ok in my book.

Have said it before on here but the parents of wrestling kids are the underrated loons and maniacs of the youth sport circuit. Have seen some insane things happen at wrestling meets my time growing up. My dad showed up drunk and got sparked cold by a 16 year old.

I was at this event watching a friend's kid compete. Freeman never physically enagaed with the dude that I could see. The coach was shitting on Freeman's kid all night and was getting worse and worse about it, Freeman went and got his kid out of it and exchanged some words with the coach and that was all I could see.

When I first read the OP all I could think was this screams like a money grab by the wrestling coach.

Catholic Church denying criminal behavior… where have I heard this before?? It sounds so familiar. Maybe a quick google search will help jog my memory

I call BS on this. Freeman isn't the type

If anything, Freeman should be commended for standing up for his son

The police report says there is video and says basically he didn’t do anything

Not sure how this guy thinks he has a chance
