The Panthers played at Clemson while their stadium was being built because our AD wouldn’t let them play in Columbia for some reason.

Also, right around the time when they first started talking about trying to get a team, the Bears and Bills played a preseason game in Columbia.

Ann Arbor snobs will never admit their city is a Detroit suburb.

Outside of the schools in big pro cities (ucla, usc, minnesota, washington).

Some good ones would be:
Bengals/Browns in Columbus

Bears in Notre Dame (I know they played in Champaign for a year when solidier field was being worked on).

Falcons Panthers at Clemson. A falcons game at UGA

Good one too.

Also.
Vikings Chiefs at Kinnick in Iowa City

Cowboys Chiefs in Norman or Stillwater

You might have some Raiders vs. Chargers like stabbings in that one. Those fan bases equally split in a outdoor stadium would be a recipe for a beautiful disaster.

Ehh some of the very best times I’ve ever had at football games were when there were 7-10k falcons fans in the terrace in the dome. For the most part both groups are pretty chill compared to some of the northern teams.

I don't see these type of games being division rivalries. That doesn't really seem fair for one team to host a division opponent and then play at a neutral site instead of making a return trip. I would think the teams would push back. Guess you could play your division rival a 3rd time, but that seems unlikely as well.

I'd be down for Saints v. Titans in Oxford.

Steelers playing a game in Happy Valley or Morgantown.
Bengals and Browns in Columbus
Colts in South Bend
etc. would be cool to see.

I don't think it would work as well in places like New England and Seattle though.

The Pats would likely be playing an away game at Yale or UCONN under that scenario.

Seattle? I’d say to play the game in Eugene, OR.

Stay out of Canada, the last game was a Clusterfrick. They tried charging Grey Cup prices for an exhibition game.

If most Canadians want to see an NFL game live then they just go across the border and watch one. I and many other people I know do this quite regularly.

Saints should play someone in TS at least one more time maybe Houston or Atlanta or Miami. It would be a great story seeing as the last time it happened Benson was considering moving to San Antonio and the city was underwater. It would be a testament to how far they’ve come. Not to mention it would be awesome for folks around Baton Rouge who can’t get to New Orleans can easily ride by and see their team play live and the renovations that expanded the stadium to 100K+ is very accommodating for an NFL audience.

Driving to Baton Rouge for anyone that wasn't already staying there was a nightmare at that time, on top of everything else people were dealing with. That team was also a dumpster fire and fans were pretty much done with Haslett and his crew already.

After a decade of sustained success and a generation of fans that have now watched the Saints win more than lose, I think think they'd have no problem filling up Tiger Stadium.

Plus, there were really bad vibes around the Saints at that time. The feeling was Benson was going to use Katrina as an excuse to move the team to San Antonio. I think he even got into a scuffle with someone at Tiger Stadium for the first game -- maybe it was a fan -- I know he said he wasn't going to any more of the B.R. games.
I was at that first game against the Dolphins - Nick Saban's homecoming. Crowd started off enthusiastic, then got pissed. Aaron Brooks did the Aaron Brooks thing of throwing a dumb interception, then going back to the sideline smiling like he just saw Beyonce in the nude. By the second half, people were tossing paper airplanes onto the field.

the Falcons shitty attendance would look horrible in UGA's 94k stadium lol. they'd be better off playing in a "cozier" stadium like Georgia Tech which seats 55k.

I think this idea would have worked better 20 or 30 years ago when attending a game was more in demand.

These days people like to watch on their huge tvs at home and teams have trouble filling 65k stadiums, not sure the demand will be there for 100k in a semi-random location. Might work as a one-off,but probably not an annual thing.

The chiefs flirted with this idea when the rams left to try and get more of our people to jump on. thwy wanted to play at mizzous stadium because its only 1.5 hours outside of stl.

Crazy that the Chiefs want to move games to Missouri campus, while Mizzou is moving games to Arrowhead

I was there with the family. Being a long time LSU fan, it felt like the Saints desecrating holy ground.

Yes, would have to be neutral site games against the add-on game to make it a 17-game schedule. I like the concept actually and it could increase awareness if done strategically. And living in Oxford, hell yes, to this proposal!

All in all, you are taking about 12 games. You have to assume the teams playing outside the US will still use that as their neutral site, so 12 stadiums. With advance notice, I think it would be fun.
