Alabama fans being so defensive not about smack from other fan bases, that’s to be expected and is part of the fun of this, but perceived disrespect from the media, particularly the media from outside the South.

I think UVA fans aren’t serious enough with wanting win and compete. Too many fans still want to uphold strict academic standards and a holier than thou approach to balancing excellence on the field and classroom.

It’s not just Georgia that does it, although I’ve noticed it a lot more recently, but acting like the media as a whole is somehow out to get us.
Also, it’s not something I honestly see that often, but barking at opposing fans is crazy to me.

I don’t think anyone at UVA expects that we could be an Ohio St or LSU to ring that bell year in and year out. But the occasional knocking at door of playoffs and competing is achievable.

The old money fans at Alabama are just awful. It's a small group, but they have a lot of money between them. They've been trying to ban Rammer Jammer (aka the only unique thing we have) for years and partially succeeded, they claim Auburn doesn't matter and we shouldn't play them, and are the most arrogant fricks. They actively make our gameday experience worse for everyone. I'm not convinced they even enjoy Alabama football, and just go for the status

Nebraska fans believe the refs/B1G are out to get us. I keep telling them that we're not a threat of any sort, and we beat ourselves. The refs don't even need to get involved for us to lose.
In addition, they can't accept anything they perceive to be negative or pessimistic. For example, say there's a 5* OT recruit who visited, yet he's 100% projected to Ohio State. If you say you think he's going to Ohio State, the typical response is, "Well why don't you go cheer for the Buckeyes then." It's ridiculous.
