Ohio State 2003 vs Miami Hurricanes

This has been my example. Craig Krenzel was 7-21 for 122 yards. I guess it would be absolutely impossible for Tate Rodemaker to match those stats and for FSU to win a playoff game with defense and the running game.

I would say that Bama has begging down to a science, no doubt.

Correct. You claim that bias is "earned". I stated it is not.

What did Bama do in 2011, just two years after their first title in decades (2009) to "earn" a mulligan no other program would get? It certainly wasn't the body of work the two season leading to that point. 2010 wasn't a good season and 2011 saw Bama lose their biggest game with one of the weakest schedules in the country.

That bias was not earned based on "six" titles in a run. You only had one at that time should not have gotten the second. That mulligan was leveraged to deliver more mulligans later (that weren't earned).

No, I'm just arguing with an idiot so I look like one.

The entire reason people love sports is it’s decided on the field. Vegas is built on people thinking they know what will happen based on who they think is better

However, college football:

When you consider the number of players on LSU who played in the NFL this is not so much of a surprise.

Bama 4th and Forever this year vs Auburn. Their worst QB (in terms of passing) in a while throwing to their worst WR group in years with everything on the line. That play might have won them a championship.

I think he is a total doucher, but Stetson Bennett's story is pretty improbable and deserves mentioning.

Eli Manning and the Giants over those juggernaut Patriots.

The 2023 CFP decision really does defy basically every reason we play/love sports and it’s quite frankly un-American

This country was founded on might makes right. This country believes they are the BEST of the BEST as we speak.

I therefore submit there is nothing more un-American than leaving out the BEST team from the BEST conference.

Thank you and ROLL TIDE one and all.

Did you feel the same way when 1 loss FSU got in over undefeated WVU (and 1 loss ND who beat FSU)? Something tells me you don't.

That’s simply not true. LSU was ranked second in the BCS, second in the AP, and second in the Coaches. OU was first in the BCS, USC was first in the AP and the Coaches Poll.

IOW: The Associated Press said the game should have been USC vs LSU.
This is an example of the media dictating things.

There's no justification for Oklahoma to be in the BCS game, really under any standard that used to apply. They lost their last game, and they lost it in a blowout. The last game used to be an automatic disqualifier, and when comparing losses a blowout tended to be huge.

But the media latched onto Oklahoma and the "greatest team ever" narrative, and refused to let it go. They HAD to be in the championship. That's why they were still ranked so high in the polls, BTW.

We're going to see things like that with the committee.

You've got it backwards. It was the computers who loved OU in 2003. They were #3 in both the AP and Coaches polls. That season is why the BCS formula was changed from 50/50 to 1/3 media poll, 1/3 coaches, 1/3 computers.
