Bieber is a star young pitcher. Don’t foresee him being forgettable.

I believe he was a unanimous selection. He was a 2019 All Star and MVP of the game played in Cleveland. This COULD only be forgettable because of a Covid season, in which case Freeman, Abreu, etc all have forgettable award wins.

Yep. He was traded to Oakland in July. That was the last time a Cardinal team lost 90 or more games.

Derek Rose has had a pretty mediocre career for an NBA MVP.

Most heisman winners from the past 30 years.

I don't know about most but there were definitely some underwhelming winners as far as pro success is concerned.

Paul Lawrie winning the 1999 Open Golf. Most people remember Jean Van De Velde choking on the 18th.

Not only that he was something like 10 strokes back after shooting a 76 on Saturday. Can De Velde had the biggest golf meltdown ever recorded.

Larry Mize could be on this list as well. Greg Norman has a meltdown at the masters and Mize chips in during the playoff to win.

Jason White won a Heisman

His stats from that Heisman season were far from the worst of many Heisman winners that have been named in here
He actually had a great season the year he won the Heisman and definitely should have gotten it that year

No doubt he had a good year; but Larry Fitzgerald was the most impressive player that year. That was back in the pre-Tebow days when they were saying that “sophomores can’t / shouldn’t win the Heisman”. Also, it’s damn hard to win it as a receiver. Neither of those are good reasons, but we all know that’s just how it is.

I don’t hold it against White, but a lot argued that Fitzgerald was the rightful winner.

Tom Brady. Seems to have a lot of MVP’s and Super Bowl wins. Never heard of the guy personally.

Mo Vaughn won an AL MVP around 1995 mainly for the quality of not being Albert Belle, whom the writers hated.

I thought it was more because Pitt was 8-4 and Oklahoma was 12-1
During that time, Heisman winners normally came from top ranked teams
