If Quintana got that I'm sure Gray, DeGrom, and others will be equally as expensive
Posted on 7/13/17 at 11:09 am to tduecen
eh, i think quintana and degrom hold more value than gray
Posted on 7/13/17 at 11:10 am to WestCoastAg
Yeah, but A's will look for a similar haul of prospects using this deal
Posted on 7/13/17 at 11:11 am to tduecen
well sure theyll ask, but no way they get it
quintana is just better and has more control

Cubs need him to get into the olayoffs. Astros are in. Once you are in its all luck to win the WS...who gets hot and which pitchers are at their best.

Can't wait to see him pitch for the Cubs

According to MLB insider Ken Rosenthal, the Phillies and Marlins kicked around the idea of outfielders Giancarlo Stanton and Christian Yelich landing in Philadelphia in a deal that would change both franchises.
The concept was this: Marlins outfielders Giancarlo Stanton and Christian Yelich to the Phillies, with the Phillies absorbing the remainder of the two contracts -- Stanton's monster deal through 2027 (he can opt out after '20) and Yelich's below-market deal through 2021. A potential $339.5 million, for those keeping score -- a massive sum that surely would have limited the Marlins' prospect return if the conversations ever got started, which, according to sources, they did not.
The Phils kicked around the concept internally, sources said. Their only commitment for 2018 is outfielder Odubel Herrera at $3.35 million, giving them the flexibility to acquire virtually any high-priced player they want. But they have not -- repeat, not -- expressed interest in Stanton, according to high-ranking officials with both clubs.

According to Heyman, the Los Angeles Dodgers recently contacted the Baltimore Orioles regarding the availability of Zach Britton, a two-time All-Star and Cy Young candidate as a closer last season.

Would love Houston to get in on Britton

Talk about a shut down pen, wonder if they would then start to use Jensen and Britton for more than 1 innings
Posted on 7/13/17 at 12:33 pm to tduecen
Jansen has proven he can pitch in the postseason for multiple innings. He's a lock for that. Don't know about Britton

Brewers acquire Tyler Webb from Yankees.

At this point I don't trust any rumors.
NO ONE was on Quintana to the Cubs
ETA: I mean how many times in the twitter age has a team been able to break their own trade?
