y'all are going to make me look up the Astros top prospects.

What makes you think a deal goes down today?

Well, I wouldn't look for anything to come out of NYM anytime soon. They still think they can make a run and the WC, if not Washington. I don't know how those clowns are able to run an MLB franchise. i'm talking both ownership and GM.

They are 12 games behind Washington and 10.5 back in the WC... it would have to be one hell of a run

I don't expect any moves today. But dammit I want some rumors! It's been slow going so far.

Kyle Tucker is the exact kind of hitter you were describing in that earlier post

Most of the rumors right now are just previous ones regurgitated

I don't see lunhow making any moves until the deadline. He has 2.5 weeks. Nobody selling has incentive to sell early when the market might be deeper for them 3 weeks from now.

The only ones that make sense are rentals which may fetch more return the earlier they move.

The Rockies are eyeing relief help as the deadline approaches, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post writes in his latest mailbag column. One name that Saunders has heard connected to the Rox is Marlins closer AJ Ramos

Morosi also reports that the Marinerswould like to add some pitching at this year’s trade deadline, but they’re not keen on adding any rentals

The Athletics have made it known to other teams that Alonso is available in trades “right now,” writes ESPN’s Buster Olney.

The Cardinals are still looking into adding a middle-of-the-order bat and will continue to do so up through the deadline, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch wrote in a recent chat with readers.

Despite excellent performances from Craig Kimbrel and Joe Kelly, the first-place Red Soxcould use an upgrade to the back end of their bullpen. The BoSox have received inconsistent performances from Matt Barnes and Heath Hembree, and it’s probably the correct move to get those two out of the seventh and eighth innings of tight games as often as possible in favor of a more consistent option. Enter lone Phillies All-Star Pat Neshek.

Would like to see Cardinals move Rosenthal, he is an instant upgrade to anyone's pen, and he can close.

What is Stantons Value? $295 million guaranteed over from 2018-2027 seems like it would restrict any half decent return for the marlins

In a stunning development, the Cubs have acquired lefty Jose Quintana from the crosstown rival White Sox, per club announcements. Top prospects Eloy Jimenez and Dylan Cease are going in return, with first baseman Matt Rose and infielder Bryant Fletealso included in the package.

The Phillies have strong interest in Marlins outfielder Christian Yelich and would be glad to take some of Miami’s underperforming contracts to facilitate his addition, according to a report from veteran journalist Ken Rosenthal.

The Braves have a middle of the order bat that the Cards can have for a price
