He won’t get away with his running antics in the League. Let him stay at OP if he gets another year. Give me Lev or Sorsby.

It’s really sad we have gotten to the point of announcing returning for year 2.
It looked as if the RG had a false start in the TD.

This isn't going to stop. They are going to burn it all down if something isn't changed and the NCAA gets control of this. it isn't sustainable. This is just like a big city.....they will destroy any and everything good....for short-term gain.I think this has a lot to do with the softness we are seeing out there from a lot of players. Many are simply not hungry anymore.

Don’t hold your breath. One reason the NCAA hasn’t done anything is because every rule they had has been taken to court based on the “it’s not fair” argument. It’s just a matter of time when the “House Settlement” provision for the NIL Clearinghouse is challenged. I’ve heard there are already lawyers writing briefs for a lawsuit.

I love CFB, but there has to be a middle ground for NIL/Rev Share and building depth and year to year continuity.
In 1990, there was only like 18 Bowl games. ESPN created a majority of these bowl games for I’m sure content on their expanding platform; ESPN2, ESPNU, etc.

Then a short 10 years later after over saturating the market, they turned their attention to the BCS and the pursuit of an ever expanding playoff and pushing the narratives that the only thing that matters is the playoff and that Bowl Games are meaningless and players shouldn’t play if they have a future.

Every issue or problem in sports has a direct link to an ESPN directive or talking point. What ever the “world wide leader” wants, it eventually gets.

Pretty sure the NCAA changed some rules regarding NIL. Can’t just pay a backup qb half a million anymore. Each deal over $600 goes thru a vetting process to make sure it’s the players actual value. How they are going to do that who knows, but I think some of these guys jumping in may be in for rude awakening.

While I love this change, I’m sure there are attorneys just waiting to sue the NCAA over this.
Y’all do realize LSU isn’t the only team shopping in the portal. Just because you want 5 OL, QB, RBs, etc doesn’t mean you will be all of them. 2 year rebuild.
We can do better than Chambliss
If they are getting paid NIL/Rev Share, they should be required to play.

I understood the opt out before they pay for play. Now, you can’t take the cash, and choose not to play.

re: Bring back the computers

This was the exact reason the BCS was created, to take human bias out of the equation for the rankings. Until ESPN didn’t get the matchups they wanted. Then the argument shifted to “the eye test” that computer can’t provide. Taking us back to human bias.

With the playoffs, I wish they would return to the ORIGINAL BCS computer formula, where SoS mattered. Have the computers spit out the Top 12/16 (No More).
Just because it can be done, a lot more goes into winning and building a program than just portal players. Every team is doing the same thing and to win a championship it takes a little bit of luck. I feel like you still need to give a coach 3-4 years.

The crazy part of that story is they gave him a CD of all the plays but left it blank intentionally to see if he would watch it. Came to practice and told them he watched it and he the knew the plays. They knew they were fricked.

I heard they taped a $100 bill on the last page of the playbook.

Those two are not the same.

Also, Bama is not better job than LSU. LSU and Bama are on par as the same level of job. Before Saban got there, Bama was not the program they are today and will it reach that level again.

I can’t think of a better coach for LSU than a guy with the nickname of “Drink”.

That recipe worked very very well here. Imagine Les' legacy if Ryan Perrilloux wouldn’t have been kicked off the team. We could do a hell of lot worse.

Fixed it for you.
Because it doesn’t fit Landry’s vendetta against Woodward.
You can start it, but free market says it won’t stay. The minute another school comes calling everything changes. I understand what he is saying, but the market is what the highest bidder will offer both in years and monetary guarantees.

Hanny said today we’ve had one coach last longer than 6 years here since 1980 and that was Les Miles. The 10 year plan needs to be canned.

To be honest, those teams in the late 80s/90after were bad, were bad with the ball exception of 96-97. Saban is the only one that left on his own. Who knows how long he would have stayed if he would have not taken the Miami job. The other coaches outside of Miles were eventually fired for poor performance year 4/5. So not a good comparison.

Light weight.

I don’t get back to NWLA until around 3:30am. Stay in stadium until the band plays the Alma Mater then head out. I happily do it every time we go down to a game.
