That would be dumb on their part, they aren't ready to make that kind of move

Braves gonna dilute the market for the real contenders.

Braves need to stand pat unless they can get something without giving up front line prospect. Call up Albies in 2nd half and Acuna next season and then fill in the holes using the farm.

No need to make a contender move when Kemp, Markakis, Adams and Phillips are being run out there every day.

Pirates should trade Cole if they can get the right package. I don't know if he'll ever be a true consistent ace. He's probably the 3rd best guy on the staff right now. It would make it a lot easier to trade him if Glasnow didn't seem like a bust.

He's been a legit ace before. I'd be getting he can do it again. I don't think you guys are doing anything major. Think that might come next year if it doesn't work out

Don't know the list of FA pitchers at the end of the season but that is when the Braves need to make their move. Hopefully they won't make the same mistake like this past off season and sign 3 pitchers that are beyond their prime. Primary focus should be SP,RP/CP, and catcher.

C: ??? (Jackson?)
1B: Freeman
2B: Albies
SS: Swanson
3B: Maitan
LF: ??? (Waters?)
CF: Inciarte
RF: Acuna

Allard
Wright
Soroka
Newcomb
Folty

Kind of a silly exercise but I'd say looking down the road to 2020ish this is the long term outlook. LF, C and SP1 are the real holes. I would prefer not to trade any of the players listed above (plenty of guys in the system not listed) but when you get closer to contention and continue to gain depth you can evaluate more clearly. We're not there yet though imo.

Would be dumb for them to unload prospects right now.

None of their prospects are doing anything in the majors and Crawford is struggling last I saw

Not to overstate it, but they have a nice young core of pitchers and from what I was reading recently (try to follow Nola a little bit), they have some pretty good positional players in their farm system. Admittedly they may have more currency than I may appreciate.

They have two players in the midseason top 100 (46,47) so they would have to clear the farm. Unless they can trade some young players already in the majors like Franco

Earlier this week, the Yankees were reported to be in pursuit of All-Star left-hander Brad Hand of the San Diego Padres, but Joel Sherman reports that the Yankees have also discussed Padres’ closer Brandon Maurer in their discussions. Serving as the club’s closer, Maurer has struggled a bit this season posting an 0-4 record with a 5.60 ERA. He does have a very promising 1.16 WHIP and 2.95 FIP as he’s held batters to just a .250 batting average against. He also has posted a career best five strikeouts per walk ratio.

As Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports, the Angels, Blue Jays, and Royals have “at least mentioned” Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon as a potential trade target.

it sounds like prado, gordon, 1 of Yelich/Ozuna, and at least stanton could be gone. And there is interest in their Shortstop also.

Bour's name has disappeared from Marlins talks. Must've been the donut during the home run derby that made teams skeptical

The front office claimed Bour was not going to be traded (along with their outfield).
