If he makes it, he makes it. If he doesn’t, he doesn’t. I personally don’t give a s**t.

Shedeur's in some good company. Put up some decent stats against the 2nd and 3rd team defense of one of the worst teams in the NFL, with one of his TD's coming after a muffed punt to set him up with first and goal.

Let's wait a tick before crowning him as elite or even an NFL starter.

You clearly didn't watch the game. There's a lot more to evaluating a rookie QB than stats. Shedeur showed poise, control, command, and the game looked slow for him. And, he he pulled the trigger on several throws into really tight windows... Most rookies don't do that.

If you can't see those traits, that's on you, but there's a lot to be excited about if you are a browns fan after that game.

He fell way further in the draft than anything to do with arm strength. He was worthy of a second round pick on talent, but he did awful and interviews.

I don't understand the focus on this debate. Nor do I believe that teams passed on him for nefarious reasons. He fell for good reasons, but people keep looking for a conspiracy against him.

A year ago, there was a another QB that was projected as a potential top 10 pick. He was the top HS QB when he came to college early. His team was top 5 pretty much the whole season and he has a good year. But his stock plummeted and he was drafted in the 7th round. For some reason, I don't people seething over Quin Ewers' draft fall. So until I see that same kind of passion surrounding him, I'm just going to be amused by the Sanders story..

If he played bad I’m sure you would jabs this same level headed logical take about the value of preseason….

He did play bad. I watched the whole game and I don't understand why people are overreacting to his performance as being good. Maybe because he had 2 TD's? One which was really risky and should have been picked if the defender had any awareness. Many of his incompletions were way off. I actually thought he was supposed to be more accurate coming out of college.

On the surface, I thought the Browns were putting him in an unfair situation. Minimal reps, just a few weeks learning the offense, and lack of familiarity with the receivers.

I think he did very well considering all of that. He exceeded my expectations, but this is one preseason game. I’m ready for people to just leave the kid alone about all the peripheral shite and see how things develop.

Who crowned him as elite based on that? What’s amazing is how many of you are so bothered by “hype” or whatever the “media” says. Who cares, so analysts thought he was a 1 rounder and he fell to the 5th. You exaggerating any positive comments is not really any better than the “media” over hyping him.
I saw a little of that game he made some nice throws don’t know if it was against starters or future Amazon drivers but still accurate throws. Time will tell if he becomes a starter a career back up or out of the league in 2 years. I’m not vested in it so i don’t really care, the question is why do so many of you care enough to start threads about him?

With the level of hate directed towards this young man, I hope he becomes an elite NFL QB and HOF'er.

If he does bad: “ I told you so.”

If he does good: “It’s just preseason.”

Exactly

That's why it's derangement syndrome. They're losing their minds now because he's not the absolute trash they have been saying he is the last four months.

He could just choose to not be an off-putting chode.

You can’t choose to have the ability to throw a good deep ball.
