I'd say that Coleman has more upside than Horton but if Horton isn't going pro then it is probably an inefficient use of money to spend on two starter-quality X receivers.

I don't get the "upside" thing when Horton is a dependable WR. Does Coleman run a 4.3 or something?

Just smh...

We have a three point lead and Malette decides to take an early and stupid 3 point shot which leads to an easy 5 point run

Thank God Philon scores need the and 1

Grubb has obviously never heard of the shovel pass, screen pass, or rolling a Qb out on a passing play.

Yeah you must "watch games" by reading box scores.

We threw screens to A.Dear and D.Hill and ran multiple rollouts and bootlegs against auburn.

Good things happen when you rush for 150+ yards and 4+ yards per carry

"why aRe wE ruNniNg dA bAlL sO mUcH!!"

Well that's why we ran the ball so much against Eastern Illinois and why the momentum carried to auburn.

Hopefully that last TD pass momentum gives Ty a confidence boost and he shows out against UGA

When I played the OC constantly was in the QB’s ear. Regular conversations, arse chewing etc. The QB coach is development the OC is the general.

Based on what I’ve seen at games, and now that Grubb is on the sidelines, he is interacting more with Ty now. He didn’t at all before.

Dame experience for me from middle school to prospective, however with different personalities you have to manage them differently

If you remember Grubb said he didn't ride Ty hard early on till we lost to FSU and Ty said he was okay with it. What does that tell you? They felt it was something Ty wouldn't handle well.

In the end the most important thing is to recover Ty mentally so he can get back to being the first round level QB he had shown he can be.

quote:

It’s a fine line, we can guess at their relationship

That is all I'm saying.

What I also know is Grubb is pretty smart and has slowly made adjustments to help Ty.

What happens is that for some people (specifically only here) any time something goes wrong and it's actually on Ty they either attack the people who call it out or make excuses for why it happened.

Since when does excuses or being defensive ever produced a good return in football?
quote:

Nope. You were gargling his balls up to the Oklahoma fiasco when many of saw stuff in 2023 that gave us concerns.

Leave your homosexual fantasies to yourself.

quote:

Read the board dude, plenty of people are critical of Ty overthinking things. But to deny that there aren’t issues

Never denied issues with anyone. What I have done is say "everyone, especially the leaders should be accountable" and that makes you guys mad. I don't care. That is how football works.
quote:

For some reason, you got offended when JM was described as having a low IQ or not having mental capacity to read a defense.

I was the one saying Milroe was mentally weak and fell apart any time thing didn't go perfect.

I was also the one who said, he was the best option because the coaches stuck by him so we had to... well until that Tennessee game last year and I wanted him gone at all cost.

You guys are so transparent though. I don't care about the skin color of any player but obviously that is very important to some of you

So it takes a special kind of mental toughness to play through it.

So this iniury doesn't stop him from overthrowing speedy WRs but does impede him from making the right reads, throwing accurately on intermediate passes and makes him run backward instead of stepping up in the pocket or throwing the ball away.

Thanks for making my point.

You guys don't even know what you're talking about and want everyone from Grubb to backup RBs held at 1000% accountability but make every excuse under the sun because God forbid Ty be held accountable.

This is the most unfootball, un-Saban crap I have seen.

quote:

So quit trying to split hairs and equivocate. Go cheer for the back up QB in Seattle.

The irony is I ripped Milroe the same. I said he couldn't be benched the same.

Why is it you guys are only offended when I did it with Ty but not with Milroe?

You guys are pathetic
quote:

This … Grubb is the one who should be on Ty asking, “Explain yourself. What are you seeing that you have to constantly be taking 44 seconds to change the play?” And he’s the one who can directly tighten the leash if the explanation is lacking.

Watch Grubb's last couple of post game interviews. Each one he is either pointing to QB errors or specifically pointing out something the QB should have done and nothing has changed.. it actually got worse.

We literally can't bench Ty; we need him. So the only way forward is somehow getting his confidence up because that is the reason all these other things are so exaggerated and getting worse
quote:

Not blaming or bashing Grubb but you were a player if a coach tells you stop changing the fricking play you stop changing the play right? He’s the OC, it’s his call.

I wasn't a QB though and I know those guys come and go with their confidence.

As a kicker you understand this.

We want him understanding the overthnking is harming him and the team but you don't want him to not think at all.
quote:

I do want Grubb to get ahold of Ty and changing the play. We need to be faster, and he needs to just run the play

Just another thing they blame and bash Grubb for when the reality is Grubb can't eveb communicate after 15 seconds and it's Ty doing all that.

I have been insulted and downvoted (lol) but the reality is the main issue is Ty and his main issue is all mental.

It's why he is second guessing so much changing plays on the line.

It's why he is holding on to the ball forever waiting for wide open guys instead of throwing the guy open.

It's why he has basically stopped reading and just throws to #5 whenever he sees or even expects pressure.

It's why he is missing things like blitzes and not effectively using his PSL like he had been on an NFL level before South Carolina.

Outside of insults, can anyone dispute this? If Ty has it back mentally would any dispute all of these qualities would return and we would look much much better?

My hope is that last TD drive shook whatever lost his confidence and mentally he is back

Throwing all of the trick plays in the garbage would be a good start.

He ran one (very bad idea) and guys acted like he ran 50.

Hey maybe if his QB could help them out a bit and hit those open deep balls things would open up a little.

It's ao weird accountability is demanded from everyone on this offense but only resisted when the same is required from Ty.

What are they doing about it?

Trying to get their QB to make the right plays. What else can they do??

Stop letting the play clock hit 01 would be a start. A little hurry up, if Ty throws a pick let the freshman play for a series, stop with the damn trick plays.

Their QB is checking out of what they're running on those instances so what are they supposed to do there? Yell at him? He's already struggling mentally.

Ty's issue for me is all mental. He has shown he can process and read faster, handle pressure and make accurate intermediate and short throws.

The coaching staff after Mizzou, LSU, OU and Auburn basically "lightly" criticized their QB because I'm sure they know he is either suffering from confidence issues or mentally struggling somehow and they need him to turn it around.

Anyways, let's pray that last ballsy TD drive and throw us the medicine which finally wakes Ty Simpson up
quote:

A few guys chatting on a message board can come up with ways to help our offense and a dozen anyalist (if we still have that many) and million dollar coaches keep trotting out the same offense.

Are these guys keeping the lights on at Mal Moore facility every week or hanging out at Chuck's?

Grubb literally stated clearly after Oklahoma our QB needs to actually help our running game by completing deep balls to release pressure.

Have some of us have been saying this weeks? Yeah, but the coaching staff already knows this.

Hence why he keeps drawing up deep pass plays (which morons on here complain about). However what can KDB or Grubb do if their QB is struggle to read who to throw to on time and is struggling to accurately throw it deep?

The last decent deep ball which was thrown was to Ryan Williams and he dropped it. Before that can you even remember a fade or clearout route with an accurate throw? It happens so rarely.

We're in a situation that other teams know our weakness. We can accurately throw deep, so their safeties creep up, they leave deep runners in one-on-one daring us to beat them over the top and they keep all of our plays in front to make every drive slow and long.

The coaches know all of this.

5 sec teams and 4 would have to play each other

Well how else would the B1G safely dwindle our numbers down?

Probably more impacted by the relentless pressure put on him by very good defenses over the season.

Our defense is better than all of those defenses and puts relentlessly pressure on QBs who can still make an accurate throw down the field.

This is excuse is even worse when you understand the game enough to know a QB on the college level isn't facing the most exotic stuff like the NFL so simply reading the safety after the snap can dictate where the ball goes but Ty just forces it toward #5 any time pressure comes.

Yesterday early on Ty had all the time in the world and still missed downfield shots and made incorrect reads.

So tell me how this supposed injury impedes him from using his PSL, making quicker reads and throws and throwing accurately downfield?

Because there is a difference between having a major back issue and having a muscle strain in the back. You can’t play with the former but with the latter, it is one of the most aggravating injuries you can have because everything you do is connected to your back.

Well I speak from experience... if you have the back injury you're claiming impedes Ty from thinking and being accurate (yet over throwing fast WRs) then you won't be able to run fast, cut quickly or juke.

Yet Ty has no problem doing any of those things.

I'm still waiting on one of you to tell me how his back impacts his processing and reading?

How his back makes him throw the ball farther but more inaccurately?

No insults, just answer the above.. any of you

Then you add to it his weird vendetta with Ty

You mean the guy I said should never be benched and who only needs to wake up because he is first round first pick capable if he can just put it together mentally and get his deep ball right?

You guys are victims projecting your own personal shite on Ty but sorry guy you aren't Ty, you are you. Sorry about that.
