Thanks to the admin who killed my "Guess Kaep's settlement figure" thread. Would have been an amazing thread.

I wonder how many would have gotten close to the $60 to $80 million figure being reported.

Kaep is not low IQ. Dude got a very high Wonderlic score (higher than Brees, Brady, Manning, etc) and has played his hand masterfully. He can write his own ticket from here on out. He has somehow placed himself on the Mt. Rushmore of black civil rights icons and pocketed tens of millions of dollars to boot. He can take cush jobs on nonprofit boards, run for office, etc. Whatever he wants.

I fricking hate him, but I respect how he's unquestionably come out on top.

And the list of reparations grows. Don't let anyone tell you we need to pay reparations because we already do.

This entire case is the most accurate representation of the American lawsuit system only it was filed without any probable cause outside of inferences from comments made by Trump (not NFL executive) and that he wasn’t signed in free agency, which is the teams’ right in conducting business, we’re way too permissive in this country in allowing bullshite cases to proceed past MSJ, Arbitrator Burbank dropped the ball on this big time by denying the MSJ, people need to understand the point of the American courtroom is to peaceably resolve disputes not file frivolous suits for a handout.

If he turns around and donates all of it, I might actually change my mind but I’m pretty sure we all know how this is going to go.

Once arbitrator Stephen Burbank denied the NFL's request for summary judgment last August--meaning Colin Kaepernick had shown a genuine issue of material fact--the NFL realized they could lose to Kaepernick if they wait for Burbank to rule. A settlement is a draw & avoids a loss.

All the more begs the question what the evidence was to convince Arbitrator Burbank to do this because a President's comments and teams not signing Kaep do not rise to the level of teams conspiring with each other to exclude a player from the league. Considering the absurdity of the summary judgment denial, maybe implied he'd use the same bullshite rationale to decide in Kaep's favor at trial, our system's way too permissible in allowing bullshite lawsuits to proceed, need to call spades spades and shut shite down now and deter people from seeking handouts.

Over. They've managed to keep thousands of pages of documents that would have potentially made the league look very bad secret.

OOOOOO Florio(PFT guy)'s making assumptions because he wants the NFL to lose and Kaep signed so he can continue the SJW bullshite conversation and destroy the NFL, dude actually thinks OBAMA was a great leader and would be a great coach (LOL), the docs probably are innocuous when analyzed in context they probably express concern about the kneeling and fan/sponsor response and maybe cast responsibility for that reaction to Kaep but blaming someone for something doesn't equate to conspiring with another team to prevent them from playing in the NFL, at least in accordance with a CLEAR preponderance of the evidence standard. Guess we'll never know.

Don't like it, even though this indicates only settlement it sets the precedent that ex-players can sue the league for collusion on very shaky to bull shite grounds, grounds they willfully caused with their unclean hands, and get away with it financially, now every ex-player not currently in the league can sue for collusion pursuant to this example, Tim Tebow come on down!

Ray Rice was a starter until the video came out and was good enough and young enough for one more contract.

There is zero football reason for Greg Hardy to not be on a roster.

I’d bet good money if the nfl pays Kaep they will have some stipulations that both him and her keep damn quiet for awhile. There’s no way they are paying him and allowing him to continue his publicity stunts. Everything will continue to come back to the nfl and haunt them, no one will ever forget this. The only way for it to fade away is for Kaep to be forced to fade away.
