Not with this decision he certainly hasn't.
his grievance was about collusion by the NFL to not give him a job (don't know that for a fact), so while it's a result of his "cause" those two things are a step removed from each other.
I fail to see how him takin it all the way would further his "cause."

And by case here I mean the kneeling stuff, not the nfl's alleged collusion.

I'll believe it when I see it. And I'll stand by if it is that much, he absolutely abandoned his beliefs for a payday.

If he believed the NFL is colluding and wasn't just doing this for money, he would not take a settlement and would make sure this never happened to anyone else.

He didn’t abandon his beliefs. He’s active in his community. You can hate CK & Reid all you want. But to say he’s abandoned his values/beliefs is just willful ignorance on your part.

There are some tasty tears in this thread right now.
Good for Kaep. For him to not get a job while Mark Sanchez and Nathan Peterman signed contracts showed what sort of bullshite this was.
I would love to see what sort of awful shite those geriatric billionaires emailed each other about the situation. It really needs to leak.

Not seeing this through is selling out IMO.

Never said he wasn't.

He's letting the NFL buy their way out of colluding against him. IF he truly believed that he was colluded against and had such a slam dunk case, why not follow through? Oh, because it's just about the money.

that doesn't take away his community work.

If someone didn't take a settlement, we'd get to see it.

if that's what he stated as his goal when he sued, then you're right.
I've personally assumed he was suing for money all along.

I've got a question for y'all: If a team would have signed Kaep and cut him after a few games and say things just didn't work out would the NFL still be looked at the same way they have been for not signing him?

Good luck. I'm betting there will be a hefty damage clause tied to that confidentiality clause.

It is possible to have a great case and still lose. It's not the zero-sum game you would like it to be.

And his grievance with the NFL would still stand.

Lmao. Yeah. They still engaged in "collusion."

They almost took Brady to the SCOTUS over deflated balls so they wouldn't have settled here if they didn't think he had a case.

That was a totally different issue and situation, not comparable.

Yep the NFL and Travis Scott got money extorted out of them for that lunatic Van Jones' charity. Obviously the league is trying to minimize this nonsense.

It's sad both Kaepernick and Reid will get this money over fake allegations, but we live in Idiocracy.

I wonder whose career Nasty Nessa will ruin next after Aldon Smith and Colin Kapernick?

And how many more anti-cop causes will Kaepernick take up like supporting copkiller Assata Shakur?

I would most like to see him signed by an NFL team and do a Napoleon McCallum on the first hit he takes.

It's always much cheaper to settle.

Companies settle suits, rather than continue to drag on and pay lawyer fees. Can only imagine the fees the NFL lawyers were billing.

i would agree with everything but the low iq part he just got fricking paid by bringing a collusion suit at the NFL if that's low IQ then we should all aspire to be that dumb

His lawyer initiated and dreamed up this collusion case. Not Krapernick.

An oilfield baw who herniates a disc in his lower back, calls William Gee, and sues his company for a couple million is not exactly a genius.
