You guys are just ridiculous homer fans. FSU and Indiana both beat a team that played in your conference championship game yet you pretend it’s a super hard conference. And FSU beat them before they were so beat up from playing those juggernaut teams of Auburn, South Carolina, Missouri, etc.

SEC fans have now taken over the most whining fanbase - a 9 game conference schedule, boo hoo. Not one of your teams has made the Natty in 3 years and that’s when you only played 8. Most fans win then brag. You guys lose then brag.

To win the SEC, you need to run the gauntlet. It’s much harder to get to the playoffs in the SEC. You can’t just catch a good team on a bad day.

IMO, they will not have prepped for Fall ball down here, when temps are still in the 90’s through October, with high humidity. Doing that every other week, is not like playing in Wisky, Chicago or Indiana in the Fall

They barely beat a PSU squad that flamed out and needed a comeback and great catch to do it.

They were a very good team last year, but completely benefitted from their joke of a schedule and a massively down year for the SEC.

16-0 and beat the brakes off bama in the playoffs on a neutral field.

I called them winning the title and Mendoza's heisman on this very board going into the Illinois game last year and was lampooned...and after watching Hoover's film, I'm ready to do it again. Mendoza is a better pro prospect, but they might actually improve at QB this year. Hell the entire team is going to be better outside of losing Ponds and Coogan

They would lose 2-3 games in the SEC every single year. Probably 4 most years.

They play a cake schedule and can prepare for the one or two physical teams they play all year.

It’s not like that in the SEC.

Vandy went 10-2 in the SEC last year . Bama was kinda a huge turd last year and made the SEC champ game

Nothing hot take at all saying ND would win it

Well at least he’s actually coming out with a take rather than sitting on the fence like he normally does.

Ah, it’s just his opinion. And he’ll never have to answer to it because there’s no way to prove either way when the season is over.

I don’t know if they’d win, but they’d be a top 4 for sure.

They would arguably have the best defense and a top 3 offensive line in the SEC.

From why little I’ve seen of Carr, he’d be a top 5 QB.

Of the non-SEC teams in the initial polls, only Ohio State and maaaaybe oregon would have a sliver of a chance of winning the SEC. Winning big time SEC games? Sure half the top 25 is capable. Winning several big SEC games? Again, plenty of teams could do that. Go through a 9 game SEC guantlet then play a top 5 SEC team again for the title game? Few, if any, non-SEC teams could actually do that.

Sec homerism is comical. League was an embarrassment unto itself last post season, hasn’t even played for a title in 3 years, and they’re still of the belief that almost nobody outside the SEC could win the SEC. Haha

I know no one gives a crap... but Iowa beats Indiana last year if our QB doesn't get hurt in the 4th quarter.

I would love to see an SEC team play in either of them locations in late November or December.

The beauty of today is we no longer have to pretend. We have a playoff system now and the results are speaking louder than any homer fans. The SEC is getting dominated in the playoff era. We don’t have to wonder how BIG teams would do with a SEC schedule. We don’t have to wonder how an SEC team would with a BIG schedule. None of that matters because they play each other in the playoffs every year.

We have a playoff now where games are played and actually televised so the time for lies is long gone. We have 2 years of a 12 team playoff where the SEC has had 8 of the 24 bids, That’s 33% of the bids for the SEC. And they’ve won 1 playoff game against a P4 conference - ONE! Meanwhile the ACC has gotten only 3 bids and have won 3 games against P4 teams - 2 SEC and 1 BIG. If y’all had done that you’d be beating your chest even more than you beat it while losing.

Just admit your coaches aren’t that great and the media lies to you about how good you are. And they are doing it again with the preseason polls. They are lying to you and then you won’t believe your own eyes come January.

Yeh, that one. Iowa would be far from the bottom in the SEC

Every team has close games
