It is disgusting, and I will never grant a pass to Brown for attacking women. He faced domestic violence charges five times, including one charge of assault with intent to commit murder (a charge that was dismissed), before being found guilty of misdemeanor vandalism for smashing the windows of his wife’s car in 1999. His short fuse and bullying are insinuated multiple times in the film, but at no point is his future record of domestic violence made clear.

I’ll always remember him for his role in The Dirty Dozen
I’ll always remember that dumb arse kufi hat he wore and the rape allegations.
Wouldn’t say that to his face though… Well maybe I would now.

Rape allegations and multiple instances of physically abusing women including throwing one off of a second floor once.
That is part of the culture

A lot of people forget Jim Brown was a terrible fricking person who beat women.

Wow. He was off the charts during his short brilliant career. When a RB truly meant something in the NFL. He was the best athlete by far during his career. Since he retired there have been some really good rb’s but he will never leave my top 5.

Stuart Cooper, Collin Maitlaind and Donald Sutherland are the only 3 left unless I missed someone.

In 1968, Brown was charged with assault with intent to commit murder after model Eva Bohn-Chin was found beneath the balcony of Brown's second-floor apartment.[58] The charges were later dismissed after Bohn-Chin refused to cooperate with the prosecutor's office. Brown was also ordered to pay a $300 fine for striking a deputy sheriff involved in the investigation during the incident. In Brown's autobiography, he stated that Bohn-Chin was angry and jealous over an affair he had been having with Gloria Steinem, and this argument is what led to the "misunderstanding with the police".

Saw a post today where someone related a story about an unidentified NFL defender from that era being asked what it was like playing against Jim Brown, and he replied, “Imagine how getting hit by a car for three hours feels.”

Overrated. Did he even run as well as Adrian Peterson?
