That seems kind of ridiculous because he couldn't have known about Les' past but I guess we shouldn't be surprised. These days everything is about optics.

For those scoring at home, Jeff Long was also the AD at Arkansas when Bobby P was caught diddling a coed in the athletics department. The sanctimony he showed while that happened is making me LOVE this news.
She was, what, 25-28? And dude acted like Petrino was diddling kids, Penn State style.

Didn't Long, as Ark. AD help facilitate Les' raise and extension while Les was still at LSU?
And Long hired Les for KU? was responsible for the background check?

Jeff Long is a buffoon. Kansas fans are probably happy he’s gone.
Side note: Did anyone else watch the ESPN series about Jeff Long hiring Miles and Miles’s first season at Kansas? I’m thinking that it might get pulled from the streaming library now

KU is currently awaiting the decision of the Independent Accountability Resolution Process. If the penalties are severe enough, then Self will be done.
