Every Egyptian player will live with this for the rest of their lives.

Brandon James, bastard returned approximately 250 kickoffs and punts for touchdowns in 4 years against TN.

Is it just the luck of a blind draw, or did they get seeded in some way?
It’s how the bracket fell based on the original group stage draw, followed by the results of said group stage.

I think USC would be the more apt comparison. Still a lot of talent and potential, but nowhere near what it once was, and may not ever be again.

As someone who grew up in the ‘90s watching those Brazil teams, it’s really hard to comprehend that this will be the 5th time in the past 6 World Cups that they’ve failed to advance past the quarterfinals. And the one time they did, they ended up on the wrong end of the most humiliating result in World Cup history.

The circle jerk on France has me laughing. 1-0 over Paraguay?!?
The 2010 Spain squad is considered one of the best of all time. They won every knockout round match by a score of 1-0 on their way to the title. That included a 1-0 win over Paraguay in the quarters.

France v Morocco is a damn good quarterfinal.

That was very reminiscent of what Argentina did following their quarterfinal loss to Germany in 2006. Couldn’t beat them on the field, so acted like a bunch of bitches after the match. In that case, it actually did end up costing Germany as Torsten Frings got suspended for the semifinal against Italy.

Maybe the worst miss I’ve seen since that time Fernando Torres vomited all over himself against Man U when he was playing for Chelsea.

The whole having the ref announce the decision is stupid. Just point the spot and get it be done with it.
