Trent Dilfer never threw for 500 yards in a game and actually had an oline

Maybe they are both good in their own right.

This. Mahomes/Allen/Burrow/Herbert are going to be the new Brady/Brees/Peyton/Rodgers - all elite with arguments to be made for each.

He’s top tier for sure. I think he needs to follow drew Bree’s footsteps to fully realize his potential tho aka become a Saint.

Kinda like the Brady vs Manning arguments we had back in the day, Elway vs Marino vs Montana, Eli vs Ben vs Rivers, contemporaries will always be debated against each other. These were both 5 year college guys that came out the same year 1st round highly regarded and so far both have early success. They'll be compared to each other for a good while.

Top tier. Dude can sling it. Winning the big games will come for him, but he may have to pull a Brees and leave the Chargers to do it.

Brees won “the big games”

King of stat padding and scoring in the regular season only to always choke in the playoffs. And yes I’m aware of their one fluke SB

The insecurity on this site over Herbert is something. Is it because he went to Oregon? I don’t understand. You’re an Auburn poster otherwise I’d say it’s being in Burrow’s draft class.

Truth be told, Brr supporters have no issue with Herbert.

Herbert fans, Charger fans specifically, are borderline obsessed with shitting on Burrow, that’s when some Burrow fans pipe up to defend Brr a bit.

Burrow fans generally respect all QB’s and rarely even try to compare Burrow to other QB’s. Herbert fans have a serious chip on their shoulder since Burrow won the Natty, the Heisman, was the 1st pick, and went to the Super Bowl.

This isn’t just a phenomenon on T Droppings. This is everywhere you look on the internet. Herbert fanboys are the worst of all QB fanboys. All they do is put down other QB’s.

Maybe not you specifically, but a vast majority of them are like that.

This was once the general consensus about Rodgers too. You can see it in his game that he is a top qb. That 4th down throw down the field to set up 1st and goal on their last scoring possession was a rocket. Dude slung the ball 30 yards down field on a dime with what is probably broken ribs.

Neither did Drew Brees until he did. And herbert plays for the Chargers, so

Plus he's the devil, as evidence I give you his career passing completion percentage, 66.6%

I think they let him throw it 50 times a game because he’s a top QB.

It’s because they were the same draft class

Both are going to have really good NFL careers and are soon to be the faces of the league

Was dilfer 2nd in passer rating , 3rd in yards per game, 1st in completion pct?

Comparing dilfer and burrow is so dumb

But your point is terrible

Using only team stats for a Qb is of course dumb

But burrow and Herbert both have stats, with burrows stats from last year actually being better. And burrow took over his terrible team and took them to a super bowl. Herbert has yet to be involved with a team turnaround

Herbet is an excellent Qb though, in that 6-8 range

It’s fair to say we suddenly have a whole group of legitimately good top tier QBs in the league now. For awhile, that was looking spotty. Herbert isn’t #1, but he’s certainly in that group. Top 5-10
