1995 Nebraska beat 4 top 10 teams with an average margin of 31 pts.

Did Florida/SEC fans actually think Florida had a chance vs Nebraska, or was it a case of "well, this is going to be ugly? ?

Nebraska could have scored 100 that night. It was basically the last time a team from other conferences put a beat down on an SEC team when it mattered most.

Carlos Carson's record of five touchdown catches in a game still stands 40 years later.

The first thing to know is that no one was really talking about Nebraska as a GOAT team leading up to the Fiesta Bowl because they ALWAYS beat the frick out of the Big 8, except Switzer at OU (Switzer was 12-5 against Nebraska). Two of the Top 10 teams referred to were Kansas and Kansas State. Osborne was 50-0 against them in 25 years with most of those scores being lopsided. He was like 21-4-1 against Colorado, with most or all of those losses coming against Bill McCartney.

In 1995, OU was at its lowest point and McCartney was no longer at Colorado. Nebraska did not play a non-conference opponent that won more than six games. All they had to do to run the table in the regular season was beat the same ole Big 8 teams they always beat up on.

1995 Nebraska’s road to an undefeated regular season was without a doubt easier than it was during most of Osborne’s years.

As for the Fiesta Bowl rout, Florida had a good team that year. However, they were not a physical football team. It was the prime OU, FSU, and Miami teams with their All-Americans and NFL ready talent on defense that troubled the Nebraska running game. The Selmon bros., Casillas, Bosworth, Cortez Kennedy, Michael Barrow, Derrick Brooks, Warren Sapp, Jonathan Vilma, and other studs like that shut down a lot of Nebraska offenses. They also had coaches like Mickey Andrews who were familiar with the Nebraska offense.

1995 Nebraska simply did not face the kind of elite defense that they struggled against through most of Osborne’s tenure.

1995 Nebraska’s WR’s were Clester Johnson and Reggie Baul. They couldn’t stretch the field. Their TB was Lawrence Phillips, who was severely unstable mentally and a colossal NFL bust when he wasn’t running over Kansas anymore.

If anyone thinks that that offense could line up in the I without a WR good enough to have a cup of coffee in the NFL and just run over a bunch of first round draft picks like UGA has had on D, you’re kidding yourself.

2011 LSU ran a similar two-back downhill running style and obliterated everyone by scores similar to 1995 Nebraska except for an equally physical Alabama D they couldn’t score a TD on in 8 quarters and OT.

Go run the I at Jordan Davis or Dont’a Hightower. There’s a reason no one runs that offense anymore.

LeBron’s active consecutive streak of scoring 10+ points in a game in which he stepped foot on the court (1,170+) is longer than MJ’s entire career (1,072 games). Second-longest streak was MJ (866), followed by Kareem (787). There is no other active streak above 200.

I hate LeBron so much, but damn that's impressive.

Clemson beat Alabama 44-16 for the NC just a few years ago.

UCLA won 38 NCAA tournament games in a row.

I think Arkansas is 2nd with 11.

You have to win 6 games to win the title.
so if you won back to back, you won 12 and then whatever you did the next year. Ar-Kansas didn't win back to back like Florida 06-07 and Duke 91-92, so they easily have more than Ar-Kansas.

Well Florida didn't even make the tournament the next year, so they sit at 12.

And Duke won 1 game in the 1993 tournament, so they sit at 13.

So:

1. UCLA - 38 straight games
2. Duke - 13 straight games

Is that the order?

Or does San Francisco with Bill Russell sneak in? Doubtful, tournament had fewer games and byes. San Francisco won 2 games in '57.

Bradman's all-time Test batting average of 99.9 is one of the most absurd stats in all sports. To put it in some perspective, the next highest average all-time is 62.
Phew, without that perspective I may have thought the next closest wickets was 88 runs.

Can you imagine teams like 2019 LSU playing a season and not seeing but one first rounder the whole year?

Why do people always get butt hurt and bring up the 2019 lsu team when the 1995 Nebraska team gets brought up? Hypothetically I think the 2019 beats the 95 team. But base on being dominant, you have to judge a team’s accomplishments in the era and time that they play. LSU had a national championship team in 1958. Any modern day MAC team beats that team. So does it make sense to say the MAC teams are more dominant?

If its 1995 rules and conditions they are smoking any recent Bama or Georgia squad. Nebraska OL would be salivating looking at Jordan Davis knees. He would be getting high low'd left and right

That apparently only 3 schools play tennis.

Almost 70% of NCAA Tennis Titles since 1946 have been won by 3 schools. (USC- 21, Stanford - 17, UCLA - 16).
