re: Whose coaching search sucks most: UT or Kent St - Arkansasrazorback
Kent State is one of the worst jobs in the MAC and in the FBS, but it's not impossible to win at a reasonable level there and jumpstart a HC career. They were a win away from a BCS bowl under Darrell Hazell and he parlayed that into the Purdue job. I'm surprised an ambitious young coach hasn't tak...

re: Herm Edwards hiring off to a disastrous start at Arizona State - Arkansasrazorback
Hiring Herm Edwards should get the AD fired on the spot. I would be so pissed if Arkansas did something like this. Herm Edwards is John L Smith but without the interim tag or college coaching experience....

re: Upcoming on First Take: Would LaVar Ball be treated different if he was white? - Arkansasrazorback
The difference is that Marv Marinovich was a former professional football player and strength coach. He's considered by some to be a nutrition guru. Lavar Ball is just a bag of hot air who says outrageous shite while not actually knowing anything about anything. ...

re: Lincoln Riley, Saban say fans who want to expand CFB Playoff field will never be satisfied - Arkansasrazorback
He's 100% right. It just moves the point of contention back. It could eventually get to the point where teams with four losses have an argument for playoff inclusion. frick that....

re: Anyone Else Notice all the Subtle Digs... - Arkansasrazorback
You're reaching but I took Morris' mispronunciation of Bielema's name as a dig. He's known to have taken offense to Bert's comments about the spread. Coaches are generally a tight knit community. I think he probably knows how to pronounce his name, but it's apparent the two aren't friends, thus t...

re: Biddy just said Morris will go after Venables - Arkansasrazorback
Reading that board and other team boards just shows me how much Bert and about six years of bad football lowered the perception of the Arkansas program. When they say shite like "he'll get them competitive," what they really mean is "he'll get them back to 6-6 but not much better because it is a...
It's not a bad hire, but we could have gotten better tasting koolaid and that's why people aren't jumping up and down. I don't think the sky is falling, there were just better options realistically available.
Yea I guess this is pretty much where I sit. I used the word "horrible" ...

re: Official Chad Morris to Arkansas - Arkansasrazorback
Mike Norvell has landed a couple of the highest ranked recruiting classes in Memphis history. I never said they were the highest in the AAC. Let's say a coach lands a top 15 class at Arkansas (farfetched). Meanwhile, Ed Orgeron lands a top five class at LSU. The Arkansas coach is being outrecr...
Fuente before Norvell for sure left Memphis in a much better spot than SMU.
This is true. It's also true Memphis lost a first round QB when Fuente left. No worries though, Norvell promptly recruited and developed one of the most successful QBs in school history....

re: Official Chad Morris to Arkansas - Arkansasrazorback
They were 9-40 in the years preceding Mike Leach. I'm well aware of their successful years that got Mike Price hired at Alabama. Those don't change the fact that their program has an overall losing record. They're the PAC's Kansas or Iowa State....

re: Official Chad Morris to Arkansas - Arkansasrazorback
The loss of Mike Norvell got Todd Graham fired at ASU. Someone having a different opinion than you doesn't invalidate their opinion. On a different note, even if I'm wrong and Morris wins here, we now get to see aggy hire a coach away from us. Terrific....
