For example:

The first Olympics at which the men's 4×100 metres medley relay event was contested was the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome.

Since then, the US has never lost the event at the Olympics.

Nobody really talks about this insane achievement.

1960 - Gold
1964 - Gold
1968 - Gold
1972 - Gold
1976 - Gold

1980 - *boycott

1984 - Gold
1988 - Gold
1992 - Gold
1996 - Gold
2000 - Gold
2004 - Gold
2008 - Gold
2012 - Gold
2016 - Gold
2020 - Gold

No other country has ever won this event at the Olympics in which the US participated.

Barry Bonds won 7 MVPs, and it should have been at least 10 (‘91, ‘96, and 2000 for sure).

LeBron’s active consecutive streak of scoring 10+ points in a game in which he stepped foot on the court (1,170+) is longer than MJ’s entire career (1,072 games). Second-longest streak was MJ (866), followed by Kareem (787). There is no other active streak above 200.

Edwin Moses 122 win streak (including 107 finals) in the 400m hurdles.

Makes it more impressive because it's hurdles.
To think that not only was he faster than everyone for 122 races, but that there wasn't 1 race where he clipped a hurdle, mistimed, stumbled etc is amazing.

Joe Sewell struck out 48 times in 9 seasons, 5540 plate appearances (under 6 times in 6 of those seasons, high was 9). Will never be touched.

Somebody beat me to Joe Sewell!

add: I thought he struck out 3 times in a game once but not according to this google answer:

"Joe Sewell was a contact hitter and one of the toughest players to strike out in baseball history. He played for the Cleveland Indians and New York Yankees from 1920 to 1933. According to Bleacher Report, Sewell struck out only three times in the entire 1925 season1. However, according to Baseball Past and Present, Sewell struck out twice on May 13, 1923, and again on May 26, 19302.

I couldn’t find any evidence that Joe Sewell struck out three times in one game. It seems that he was a very difficult player to strike out."

I wonder if he got his eyes checked after those 2 games.

Impressive.

Complete games are a thing of the past. For most of baseball history, there were a handful (or more) pitchers who went the distance. Now, even the best pitchers only throw 2 - 3/season.
