They were focused on battling Addidas and Under Armour when what really killed them is brands like Alo, Alphalete and Lululemon

quote:Literally every USC fan and the media as a whole said 05 was better until they lost to Texas
What? I’ve never even heard any SC fan say this. The ’05 offense was better, but it was basically the same crew as the ’04 team, just with more experience. The difference was the defenses. The ’04 defense was dominant, #1 in the country in rushing defense, # 2 in scoring defense, and #5 in total defense. The ’05 defense was decent, but in the same categories I listed for the ’04 team, the ’05 team ranked 31st, 28th, and 46th, respectively. You can even throw in their 71st ranked pass defense that year.
Another example, in the most important drive of the season, Texas’ game winning one in the Rose Bowl, the Ting twins were on the field trying to help protect the SC lead. Those dudes would have never seen the field in ‘04.
Comparing stats is stupid. 05 USC played like 7 of the top 12 offenses in the nation.
Cal ASU Fresno Oregon ND UCLA and obviously Texas were all averaging like 40ppg. WSU and Hawaii averaged around 35.
04 USC is 1 of the least dominant undefeated teams having close games vs Stanford Oregon St UCLA Cal and VT. 05 was way more dominant.

They got number 1 right
01 Miami is so fricking overrated. Boston College would have beat them if their best player was playing. 86 and 87 Miami is way better
05 USC > 04 USC its not even close really.
09 Bama is not even top 50. 20 Bama doesn't belong near the top 20 either.
22 Georgia aint top 50 either
Where the hell is 13 FSU? 97 NU? 86 PSU? 72 USC ?

Yeah I guess my point is Bieber level celebrities probably werent partying with him before the catch because he wasn’t a “celebrity”.

quote:DOell had a 10x better career than Clowney
Odell Beckham minus the one handed catch would be looked at very differently.
Same with Jadeveon Clowney and the helmet explosion against UM.
Both were elite players, but two plays made them famous.

Remember in 2020 when Michigan sucked arse and forfeited the season under the guise of Covid?

Just noticed Alabama currently ranked 68th in recruiting hahahahahaha
Michigan sent Nicky in to retirement and they are spiraling in to becoming a laughing stock. Welcome to the dark ages Bama fans LMFAO. We as college football fans dreamed about this for a decade and Michigan made it happen. All praise due to Jim Harbaugh, Sherrone Moore and Blake The Great.

On paper Arizona was the best team in 03 not UK.
That team had so much offensive firepower its mind blowing.
