It's not that I think Boogie is going to be his normal self, it's just the message and the implication of the signing.

If you're a fan of a small market team, you're wasting your time. Even if you get a superstar, it doesn't matter. Your team is just going to overpay players to try to get talent around him for a few years and then he'll sign a max deal and with a couple of years left in it, he'll ask out.

As soon as that star player doesn't win a playoff series or doesn't make it to the finals, the shite starts. Every pundit starts blowing the smoke up their arse. "You can't win in Milkwaukee, you can't win in New Orleans, you can't win in Orlando, Memphis, etc."

This shite only happens in the NBA too in American sports. There's nobody saying Alvin Kamara needs to leave New Orleans to win a championship. Nobody is going on TV saying that Green Bay isn't a big enough market for Aaron Rodgers.

In Major League Baseball, you have a long time with your young stars before they can reach free agency and a full minor league system to develop replacements.

Yes, I'm mad. Yes, I'm probably exaggerating and not bringing up shite that contradicts my argument.

It's because in the NBA, you're seeing more and more people be fans of players instead of teams, so there is more pressure for those players to win titles than it is for teams themselves.

The NBA is the millenial league, so as long as teams have cool social media output that is appealing, they'll operate in the black.

And frick all those stupid frickers who are fans of players, not teams. You did this shite too. It's weird and honestly creepy to be a fan of a player in team sports. How you gonna swear allegiance to some dude who doesn't even know you exist? shite's fricking weird. Y'all are fricking losers.

I was going with a young, budding superstar, not someone at the end of their career. If Kamara was in the NBA, you'd have frickers tweeting about Danny Ainge putting a package together.

It really sucks. The way things are set up it’s almosg impossible for someone like New Orleans to win it all

Depressing when you consider in 5 years Doncic will probably go join Giannis, KD, and Embiid in New York.

I have no sympathy for the small market teams.

OKC had a chance to do something really special and they screwed it all up over $4 million dollars. They could've been the model to players that you can make a dynasty anywhere.

I mean, neither does any team you root for. If they know you at all, it's by account number.

One occasion is all it takes for you? LOL.

To put it in perspective, the Saints didnt do shite for 40 years and have had a better chance at winning championships than the Pels ever will have.

In fact, the Saints may bring one home this season. I dont think ill ever be able to say that about the Pelicans.

The pelicans are going to be fine. Some of their most dominating stretches last year happened with boogie on the bench.

The odds aren't in our favor, but it's nowhere near impossible.

We can talk about market size all we want, but GS and SAS didn't win because of market size, they won because of consistently drafting well. Did the market size help, sure. But if we draft the equivalent of Curry/Draymond/Klay, we'd have a title or 2 as well right now.

Well the league is about 5 teams right now with 1 being clearly above the others. All the superstars flock to these teams and win championships... but against who? There’s little to no competition which makes all these titles pretty much worthless really. So you essentially play a bunch of scrub teams, get to the semis and then finals where there may be a tad bit of competition then you’re champs. fricking awful for the league.

It’s very prominent with the black fans. There was an article on it last year and how the young black fans are the majority of the viewers and how they follow players, not teams. They are also the ones who keep Stephen A Smith in business.

I pray to God DSJ and Doncic see what loyalty did with Dirk and the city of Dallas. Guys like Beltre for the Rangers and Dirk are God’s here for the things they’ve done.

Playerfans have always annoyed the shite out of me.

As much as I love Manu Ginobili, if he were to suit up for another team, I'm rooting for my Spurs first.

Yeah I do think the nba needs some more rules to control star switching so much.

Also, mlb and NFL is a bit different in terms of career length and money.

Seems farfetched, I'd say.
