Same. Had a buddy who loved all things Michael Vick. VaTech, Falcons, etc.

How often is a small market team going to get a chance to put together a historic type of dynasty?

Zero chance the Lakers or Knicks would've broken that core up over $4 million dollars.

Earlier this week there was a huge win for small market teams (Thunder).

This was a special instance, if Boogie doesn’t get injured last season, he signs a 5 year max with the Pels this offseason.

The NBA is dead.

Boogie to the Warriors has killed it.

Your team represents your community, city, state, region, something to you. You can pass down your fandom of your favorite team.

I grew up watching the Saints with my dad. I've loved them my whole life, and yeah I have favorite players but if they leave, I'm not following them.

I would feel like a creepy arse stalker if I had to tell people "nah, I'm just a LeBron James fan"

I see we've reached overdrive on the overreacting.

The pelicans are going to be fine. Some of their most dominating stretches last year happened with boogie on the bench.

That's not even the point. If Boogie left to go anywhere else, I wouldn't have even cared. I don't think he's coming back from that achilles for at least a year and a half. It's just the whole culture of that shite in the NBA

People born and raised in an area with professional teams who root for teams outside that area are the lowest of the low.

Considering how being a fan of a player has been a thing for many decades, I’m failing to see how something like that would be odd.

The guys coming off the worse injury imaginable for a player his size is breaking the league.

Bum pick and roll defender.
Can’t get up and down the court.
Can’t rim protect.

Take shots away from Kevin Durant and Steph curry.

Yea this is clearly GAME OVER.

You're exactly what I'm talking about. You have like 87 favorite teams on top of being a LeBron James fan. That's just weak, dude.

This shite only happens in the NBA too in American sports. There's nobody saying Alvin Kamara needs to leave New Orleans to win a championship. Nobody is going on TV saying that Green Bay isn't a big enough market for Aaron Rodgers.

Thats because the culture of football is built completely different than basketball. In basketball these kids have known AAU and then 1 and done. They don't know about team loyalty.

I already said I don't think he's going to be great. It's just the symbolic nature of the shite that's pissing me off.

It’s turned itself into a terrible league. The NBA fricked itself. Super teams are the norm and the only way to fix it is to make a hard cap and no max per player.

Strange.

Maybe it's because most of these playerfans always happen to be fans of the best individual players in the game. It's fricking easy to be a LeBron fan, or a Curry fan. Never any tier 2 players.

By all means, continue to be dense about an aspect of the history of the league.

Yeah, man, I'm sure you get real happy when one of your teams wins a championship, but it doesn't really matter since you can become a fan of the team that won. You found the loophole, congratulations.
