That's the peak male athlete right there. Dusty had more charisma and aura than anyone on the planet right now.

People will say the same thing about the NFL someday

You wouldn't say that to the Big Cat Ernie Ladd's face, he'd slap you and then slap your momma in the face !

People who think they're smart for figuring out wrestling is fake are always so annoying.

All Big Cat had to do to finish his opponent was pick his foot up into the air and let his opponent run into it.

I believed it until an older cousin ruined it for me. Like my older brother ruining Santa.
In both cases, they thought I knew. People have always given me too much credit for knowing what they’re talking about.

Won't be long before the same thing is said about the NFL. The NBA gave this away a couple of decades ago and an official ended up confirming it....yet somehow millions still believe that league is "real".
Remember, every major sport is covered legally by the same laws that protect wrestling from being sued. Are you entertained?

I thought it was real until I was maybe 8, but still followed it and enjoyed it long after. Old friends and I still recall fondly stories of us going to the Centroplex to watch or stuff Ernie Ladd or Rick Flair said and it always makes us smile. Still does....no regrets.

The redneck telling it like it is.

No sane person ever thought it was real. We used to go sometime in the early 80's and see Mid-South.

The was nothing better than Mid-South Wrestling from 1979-1986 and then they became the UWF or Universal Wrestling Federation

Johnny Valentine and Wahoo McDaniel were notorious for working stiff when they faced each other and legitimately beating each other into a pulp. Of course they were both certifiable.

Bruiser Brody vs Abdullah the Butcher as well.
Stan Hanson, Terry Funk, and Ronnie Garvin were all stiff as hell, too.
