re: Do well sell off the last 30 mins like last Friday? - Lgrnwd on 4/3/20 at 3:09 pm

re: Oil over $30 the most obvious short ever? - Lgrnwd on 4/3/20 at 8:25 am
Not at $30, over $30. Actually mid to upper $30’s would be ideal. Oil was due for a bear market rally. But demand for oil is going to remain painfully low for quite a while and the price war is not going anywhere anytime soon. And mid to upper 30’s will start to hit Fib retracement level...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Where did the morning rally go? - Lgrnwd on 4/2/20 at 3:46 pm
If it gets back up to 2600 shorts are going to be sweating. It gets above 2650 and shorts will be scrambling to cover. And there a LOT of shorts out there right now. I really think that needs to be worked out of the market before we test lows again. Not enough people have been suckered i...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Vehicle financing at 0% - Lgrnwd on 4/2/20 at 2:31 pm
Agreed. Do not take that deal. Car dealers are going to be hurting big with all that is going on. Buyers have all the leverage right now. Play hardball. If he doesn’t budge you should be able to find a dealer who will in the near future. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Where did the morning rally go? - Lgrnwd on 4/2/20 at 1:58 pm
Yes. Oil got ahead of itself this morning. It was dying for some type of “good news”, and when it got it oil bulls got a little too rambunctious. People jumped at the chance to take some big quick profits, and that’s what we have seen since this morning. Whether or not this oil rally has mo...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: 6.6 million jobless claims, market shrugs - Lgrnwd on 4/2/20 at 12:21 pm
i mean... what happens when we get to the multi month mark of lockdown (which seems likely at this point) and millions of people are multiple months delinquent on mortgages or unable to pay their rent? We do know that over half of america lives paycheck to paycheck
Most mortgage co...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: 6.6 million jobless claims, market shrugs - Lgrnwd on 4/2/20 at 9:44 am
There was near record level short positions in the market this week. If the market doesn’t turn back down soon you will see some serious short covering. That will provide rocket fuel for the next rally. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: 6.6m new jobless claims last week - Lgrnwd on 4/2/20 at 8:30 am
The years following the 2008-2009 financial crisis, the market loved when bad economic data was released, because it meant more stimulus coming. I was just getting into trading at the time and got burned a few times trying to short the market, because “logically” it SHOULD have went down. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Today’s “big” down day feels different - Lgrnwd on 4/1/20 at 12:07 pm
I don’t have an answer for that. But if there is one area of the market over due for some type of “good news”, it’s oil. And it will respond significantly and quickly. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Today’s “big” down day feels different - Lgrnwd on 4/1/20 at 12:01 pm
I know oil is way down. Marathon Oil is at 3.10, which is the lowest it has been all year. Thinking about getting into it today.
Oil has been mostly flat the last 3 days. It was even posting a small gain for a while today, despite the market being down a lot. At some point ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Today’s “big” down day feels different - Lgrnwd on 4/1/20 at 11:46 am
Going to drop big Thursday. Unemployment numbers come out
Logically you would think so. Which is why I am hesitant to make that call. Market is already expecting terrible unemployment numbers. The big drop today is partially due to people front running the unemployment numbers...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)

What timeframe did he say we would hit those numbers?...
