This thread makes it easy to tell who the sock puppets are

And Turkey had nothing to play already finishing LAST in the group

It sucks, silver lining , that was our “B” team for most of the game

quote:They were playing for pride. They are a team from a tough federation that are not a perennial fixture in the World Cup due to how difficult qualifying is for them. Australia and Paraguay played them similar to how Ghana played England, don't give them space and hit them with counters. The US backups on the defensive side gave them space to operate and Turkey showed what they are capable of. The US played a competitive game primarily using subs and back of roster guys against a top20-30 team in the world. Had Weah, Reyna, and Pepi played to their potential and not disrupted the offensive possessions as much as they did this would have very easily been a different result. All in all what this game did was show Poch who he could utilize, give tape for other possible subs to look at, and showed positions that may not be safe or need further development after this World Cup for the next cycle.
And Turkey had nothing to play

Turkey is arguably the 2nd best team in the group that had terrible luck through 2 games.
They had more to play for than we did.

We already clinched the Group and sat a bunch of people. This was a chance for our depth to get World Cup game experience, that is all.
The outcome did not matter. It means absolutely nothing.
My favorite analogy is an NFL team that has clinched a first round bye sitting their starters, including starting QB, in the last week of the NFL season.
Move on, we have a real game to play now.

Meaningless game and TBF Turkey has individual some players who are much higher rated than ours (Yildiz, Guler)who were obviously still playing their asses off.

The only thing important about this match was Pulisic getting some run

You start Miles Robinson and Mark McKenzie
Law of averages. Turkey had 62 shots and 0 goals ( WC record) in 2 games. Then they go up against a team’s entire backup defensive lineup

Turkey is a good team. They should have done better. They controlled the ball for large portions of their matches and had a ridiculous amount of shots on goal that just didn't go in.
US playing backups was the right call

Did you watch that and come to the conclusion that “Turkey didn’t care”

Turkey is a good team.
We must’ve arrived. People are pissed that our B-team didn’t beat the A-Team of a European country that qualified for the World Cup

was as meaningful as an NFL preseason game.
More like a week 18 NFL game

more than that since it’s a game that actually counts. It’s about on par with the SEC title Game in the 12 team era.
The SECCG in the 12 team era often determined who played for the BCS Title. Losing to LSU in 2001 cost Tennessee a title shot and sent them to a meaningless Citrus Bowl. The US still moves on as a Group winner and can still advance to the round of 16 at least

Weah was atrocious last night, and Pepi couldn't score in a whorehouse with a dick made of hundreds.

Regarding the subs:
Those two, McKenzie and Robinson, were glaringly obvious. Pochettino saw they are clearly only emergency use type of guys and will remain on the bench.
Trusty scored. Played out of position, and then rolled his ankle. Hope he is ok after the swelling goes down.
Berhalter scored, but his defense was lacking. Clearly a bench guy.
Weah was awful last night. He definitely needs better starters around him on the field. Late game sub.
Pepi looked like he needs to hit the gym. Late game sub only.
Scally looked slow (possibly injured) and clearly a bench guy.
Dest looked like he gave them energy when he came on as a sub. Could start if needed.
Pulisic created multiple chances and looked good when he came on. Back into starting form.

Dest is a starter and one of our best players.

You're playing a team of mostly reserves.
Many of them are actually out of position.
And the style played is not comparable to the situation. They were aggressively trying to score all game.
Why did they give up that third goal? Because they were pushing forward trying to get their own third goal (and almost did)
If they needed a result, the lineup and the gameplan would have been very different.

Soccer sucks and I only keep up with the world cup. But pretty much everyone knows this was a pointless game and they were playing backups.
