Reggie Bush in college. It was never duplicated in the NFL.
I still think Bush is the best college football player I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, it didn’t translate to the NFL. Maybe Hill is what we were all hoping Reggie would be.

Tyreek is top end. Faster than Barry.

I thought prime Shady McCoy was the most elusive back I'd seen since Barry. He had seriously underrated athleticism.

Yeah he is phenomenal to watch, but then I think of what a shitty person he is.

Faulk’s cuts and jukes at speed were inhuman.

Devin Hester may not have been as shifty as Hill but he was just as electric with the ball in his hands.

Please, stop, I’m having nightmares.

Hall had the quickness but not the explosion. That’s what separates Hill from all the others, he’s the fastest straight line speed guy in pads I’ve ever seen.

I really don't see a similarity between Hill and Sanders. Hill is a human jet but he needs open space. Sanders needed a gap of about two feet to make a play. Plus you don't see Hill bounce off of tacklers that take him on head on like Sanders did. When Hill breaks a tackle it is usually someone diving at him from behind or trying to arm tackle him from the side. I remember seeing Sanders run straight into Mike Singletary and break his tackle. That is not something Hill does.

The best change of direction without losing his world class speed was OJ Simpson.

I would say hill without question has better topend speed than Sanders. But no one was ever better with quickness and acceleration than Barry.

Sanders had quickness and elusive juking ability in small spaces but never world class speed, he was always getting tackled at the 5 yard line on total breakaway runs. He could dance but he couldn't rumble.
Terrible fantasy player back in the day because he never was considered a goal line back so once he always got tackled short, he was'nt an option for the team and lost your fantasy points. Most elusive yes but not the combination of speed and he danced so much for homeruns he lost tons of yards for his team.
Vs. Watch this and these cuts where the speed never changes.

Nobody has ever had change of direction while maintaining his Olympic World Record speed like OJ.
In College, Simpson was on the relay team that broke the 440x100 world record by a full second in 1967.
By converting 400 to 440, its still the 2nd fastest time in Collegiate history. That's how fast OJ was and his speed never slowed on his change of direction.
440 yards is 402 meters and they ran it in 38.51.
4 legs in 1967...An average of 9.6 per runner.

Hill’s ability to go from 0-60 and back to 0 is unmatched. KC loves running Hill on a diagonal pattern cross field from the slot. When the defense plays over the top on him and the DB is sprinting full speed, Hill will stop on a dime about midfield. It’ll usually take the defender a second to realize Hill quit moving 5 yards ago

Trindon Holliday, the running back, not the defensive end.

You should re watch some barry higights. Very few times does he get caught from behind. Was the the fastest in the open field? Not a chance with the way he was built. But he remains the GOAT running back IMO. Jim brown is the only one close

I might get some heat for this but I would take Tyreek as the #1wr. In addition to his speed and change of direction, his ball skills is similar to AB’s as he can catch the ball at all kinds of angle. His last 4 years(one with Alex Smith) is really impressive if you take in his receiving, rushing, and returning stats.
