It's kinda like why I love defensive football. Points matter more.

At the US Open, birdies matter more. Hell pars matter more.

I was told in the GOAT ability thread that all US Open qualifiers were over for this year or I'd be out there.

It is because you have to go through local qualifying first and that was like a month ago.

Sanders in St. Louis (4 over through 14 holes), Sam Burns in Dallas (2 under through the first nine) and David griffin in Memphis (5 over currently)..

Christovich from nola is playing in Georgia and he shot one under in his first round.

Play with him at NOCC the day of the National Championship a few years ago, was tied with him going into the last 5 holes or so, and he beat me by 4 strokes

hopefully he plays really well this afternoon and gets in the open. He is on the outside looking in for the walker cup. Not sure if nola has ever had a walker cup player.

did you check out the damn qualifier in Ohio? Stacked with all the tour pros who didn't auto qualify and who just finished playing the Memorial!

That qualifier is definitely the one to stay away from every year. I don't know why these guys don't spread it out more to thin out the competition, but I guess logistics wins out.
