In your argument, Georgia would be in. You are dumb.

Yes.

They were rewarded for being undefeated by going over SMU.

That was not the game played last night. In fact, last nights game was the most atrocious game I’ve watched all year. UNLV vs Boise was a better game.
then you’ve never watched any big 10 west game this year.

If it’s the best teams why isnt Georgia in. I’m sure they could beat Michigan and Washington

So, last year JD was our starter at the beginning of the SEC Championship game. Nuss played so well in a backup role, some fans thought there was a qb controversy. You have a few weeks to get your back up ready. Shame on the committee

So the message is - if your star gets hurt, your season is over - even if you win all of your games?

13-0 in a power 5 conference with 2 OOC wins against SEC teams.

It’s insanity to not allow a team with that resume to compete for a title.

So you think Bama looked so much better than fsu when they played their 2nd and 3rd string qb vs South Florida?

So you’re advocating that the top 10 teams go through an intense physical examination before the playoff selection so that we can make sure they’re capable of playing to their current ranking??

Mental gymnastics lead to absurdity.

OMG!

"Why even play?" - to win your conference, which means you are "the best" in your conference

So, then they ranked the 5 Power 5 Conference Champs #1-5 and compared them together. The records keep getting brought up, but you have to take into consideration each team' Strength of Schedule. That HAS to matter, or everyone would start schedule sorryass competition to ensure a perfect season every year. So, looking at the SOS of the Conference Champs:

SOS:
#5 ALA
#11 WASH
#13 TEX
#33 MICH
#55 FSU

It's clear who the teams are that "earned" their way in. Maybe FSU should have scheduled tougher competition. And, maybe they should have orepared their backup QBs better, like Urban Meyer did with Cardale Jones in 2014 at Ohio State, when that 3rd string QB didn't miss a beat and led OSU to a championship. BUT, he proved it to the committee BEFORE selection Sunday by smashing Wisconsin 59-0 the week before. Both FSU QBs have not shown that ability in the 2 weeks that they have had the opportunity to do so. Maybe if Rodemaker had done so against UF, it would have helped FSU, but he didn't. Sorry, FSU. I really am. But, it is how it happened.

Just for good measure - IF UGA had beat BAMA, their SOS is #37, which would not have helped FSU in any way. Same result for FSU.

There is a reason Michigan wasn’t happy with their opponent in the playoff. They knew it was basically a walk to the championship game if FSU made it. Score 10 pts and play defense.

FSU deserved a spot. They earned it.

Yep! True statement! FSU beat 5 teams with winning records! And they were only impressive in the win against LSU!

I will say that Alabama has an impressive resume that should be good enough most years. A 12-1 SEC champion should make it almost any year.

But this year is the exception. 3 undefeated P5 conference champions should be there. And since Bama loses head to head vs another 12-1 P5 conference champion, the Tide should be on the outside looking in. Because it didn’t work out that way, that only leaves incompetence or corruption as the reason why. It should have been FSU all day everyday.

This is what I don’t get.

Have all 4 named teams completed a full and complete disclosure of their current roster health? How can we be sure Jalen Milroe didn’t pull a Myles Brennan getting off the team bus this morning?

Thats just an excuse for the committee to get Bama in. Florida st's back up would have had over three weeks to practice and be ready to go. FSU got screwed

Alabama needed a miracle to beat a team whose QB went 5/16.

Michigan has a win vs a top 10 team where they attempted 8 passes.

Alabama also has a win where Milroe went 10/21 with -19 rushing.

The committee thinks FSU couldn’t come up with anyone to have that type of performance?

Why didn’t they immediately drop out the top four after losing their qb?
