re: Baker Staying

Texas Tech’s DC is currently earning about the same
So Robinson will be Baker’s new DL coach??
Does he run a similar scheme as Baker?

I see your argument…we MUST have someone on staff with relationships in the NOLA area. We aren’t pulling talent out of Texas the way we once did with the additions of OU and Texas to the SEC. We can’t merely wave a checkbook. Whether it’s Coach O or a few analysts, we need to have boots on the ground
After Brad Davis, this needed to be a home run hire. I really hope someone else is coming aboard as the lead OL coach
In the age of kids having agents, this is a fair question. However, in competitive scenarios relationships more often than not make the difference
Those other schools successfully recruiting the NOLA area have current coaches from the area(Texas/USC) for example. If you remove Frank from the equation, what position coach is left with connections to the area??
How does Allen compare to Darby?

To not have one recruiter from the state that you’re trying to build a fence around is swimming against the current
The problem is, there is not a current HS Coach in the NOLA area that carries the relationship clout of a Frank Wilson. He knows his value. Kiffen really needs to find away to keep him. Kiffen referenced the instate talent as a key advantage LSU has. U cannot have someone who doesn’t have relationships with current HS Coaches and families recruiting the area. Texas and USC have guys on their staff for that very reason.

Who of his offensive staff doesn’t get on the plane??
You do know he tried and failed at the NFL? regardless, if he wins a natty and bolts, so be it. If he fails, he can certainly be encouraged to leave

This would be an elite level of arrogance on Lane’s part. To think we can’t find a good HC and will we would drive OM into the ground every opportunity we had
As an Ole Piss fan, if Lane decides to remain in Oxford, do you take this non committal unnecessary drama from your HC or are you just appreciative he stays?
You don’t look like a fool shooting your best shot. You’d just better have a viable contingency plan

Reminds me a bit of Russell Shepard. Not many thought he’d make it to the NFL given jet sweeps were his only film worthy plays. However, because of his willingness to play special teams, Shepard played several years in the NFL

Or, to finalize BK settlement
I agree, unfortunately it’s currently not legal to tie productivity to NIL payments; only timeline commitments that deter midseason opt outs
As for the transfer portal, we still have to pretend and align with semester enrollment
Actually, universities such as Alabama and Colorado most recently have grown in large part due to football success. The key is, what u do with the money you’re bringing in
