The average NFL fan cares more about gambling and their fantasy team. There are passionate NFL fans, but they're trash compared to people caring about their alma mater. I've been to Bears games where fans stay seated and simply clap like seals on big 3rd downs.
Lehigh beat Lafayette today in one of college football's oldest rivalries, and the students tore down a goalpost, marched it 4 miles, and threw it into a river. Give me that over whatever the NFL model is.

Outside of bama you don’t see other college fanbases regularly murdering, stabbing or getting all that physical with other teams fans in the nfl you have 49ers, raiders, and philly fans.
You either have the fantasy bros, the weird gambling addict or the super trashy fan in the nfl.
College fanbases > NFL
Also as weird as Ohio state is with their jerseys it’s worse seeing grown ups wearing other grownups jerseys

Granted I have only been to a handful of MLB stadiums but I don't recall a single one with fencing to keep people off the field.

Bingo. That is worth a watch. How so many things can go wrong for that tragedy to happen. Then the police blamed the fans. Even saying the kids were drunk. frick the FA frick the police frick the stadium security. And RIP to the 97. The worst part is nobody involved got in trouble. It took over 20 years for them to look into it properly.

You pay the opponents now so every field rush is basically loading up the opposing teams NIL war chest

About 20 years or so ago I was in the Iowa student section with my brother when Iowa beat Michigan. The students rushed the field. With a cascade of students coming down the stands you had no choice but to join the rush or get run over. I joined the rush, it was an awesome time. This was pre-smart phone so it was an authentic, old school field rush.

There is no good reason to storm the field after beating a team that isn't a rival or a top 5 ranked team.
Why did Arizona St fans storm the field after beating BYU yesterday? Not a rivalry game and BYU wasn't highly ranked.
The more that this happens the more likely that someone will get hurt or worse.
